Mattison Choked Game Away

Too bad Mattison destroyed his legacy at Michigan to lose at OSU.  Some things never change.

If we can’t win it next year, it would be funny if Georgia does.  Then Fields would have left for greener pastures and cost himself a championship.  And Mattison’s title chasing got him nothing.

Oh, and fuck OSU.  That team was stacked and didn’t even make the championship game.  It’s hilarious that their first half no-show against Wisconsin forced them to play Clemson.

The greatest coach of all time, Ryan Day: 4 times in the Red Zone for 9 points in total.

Up 16 - 0 and outscored 29 - 7 the rest of the way.

The defensive coach of the year Jeff Hafley: burned in 90 seconds for the winning score.

Let's see how these coaching geniuses look once Urban leaves town.

Ryan Day choked more.  Inexplicably didn't go for two, and then pussied out and did not go for it on 4th down with about 3 mins to go from the Clemson 39.  A first down would have iced the game.  Can't beat a champion like Clemson playing *by the book.*

Urban was a fantastic recruiter, rivalry coach, and a decent play-caller. His biggest weakness was roster management, and, before hiring Day, a simplistic offense.

Which is what made the 2014 and 2017 games vs them infuriating. OSU was on track to lose both games, before an injury to Barrett both times forced Urban to play better personnel at the QB position. 2016 we held their offense to 10 points in regulation.

Not to mention his refusal to give Zeke Elliott the ball vs MSU in 2015 (instead saving him for what turned out to be an inconsequential game vs UM the following week) basically singlehandedly sent MSU to Indy that year, and in turn, the CFP.

As for Day, we'll see if he can keep the recruiting going. Neither his gameplan for Clemson, nor the in-game strategy was impressive to me. It became clear as day (lol) that talent, and a system that is a good fit was the reason they coasted through the season. I'm not convinced he won't bail for the NFL after 2-3 seasons.

Mattison is an asshat.  I met him along with couple other coaches including Harbaugh at a camp in Houston.  Mattison acted like an ass and wouldn’t even let me take a picture with him but Harbaugh did and had no issue talking to me for a little bit.

Just glad he still didnt get that title he thought he was gonna get. Also Benedict, Day is gonna bring in another DC, so at best you'll be CO-DC. You gonna leave OSU like a scorned ex lover too?

That rat fuck asshat can fuck off.  But the OSU defense played about as well as can be expected against an offense like Clemson’s.  CFB no longer has any bias towards defense.  Defense can keep you from winning, but it will not win a game for you.  They held Clemson under 30 points, which has to be more than enough to win in today’s version of rules friendly point-a-minute offense.

All that aside, they should have won the game.  Olave now knows what Ronnie Bell was feeling.  So fuck them - especially that rat fuck *attison.
