To make room for Shea P. and Taco C., Chiefs waive former OSU RB Mike Weber.
The Kansas City Chiefs waived RB Mike Weber, 22, who had joined the their practice squad Jan. 8 and then signed a futures contract.
After foregoing his final season of eligibility at OSU, the Cowboys made Weber a seventh-round choice in 2019, but he failed to make the roster out of training camp. He spent a few weeks on the Cowboys’ practice squad.
The Chiefs now have 6 former Wolverines currently on their squad.
Thoughts and prayers.
Karma is a bitch, eh Weber?
You mean Webbbbbber!
Karma? What did he do other than beat Michigan three times? It's not his fault that you pussies can't even put up a fight anymore.
Besides, Patterson is not going to make the Chiefs roster. He is just another arm to throw balls in training camp. In his case though, he will probably be throwing to the Chief's defensive backs since that is his specialty.
As for Taco, let's face it, he is a bust. Dallas realized it and moved on. Doubtful that he makes the 53 man either.
Actually, your mom handles the balls in training camp. Tell her I said hi.
My mom is dead, just like Michigan football.
Did she die at the embarrassment of having a son like you or did she just kill herself first?
She died laughing when she saw this...
I will leave the same fifty people who actually use this site to log on to your 25 alternate accounts so you can downvote this now ?...
That was absolutely a class move by Gardner, I remember the people I was watching that game with saying the same thing. Some things are bigger than football
Brennan, you are a bit of a cunt.
Also, very bad to say that about your mother when she is still alive and still swims after troop ships.
You can tell Andy Reid really respects Harbaugh by taking all these guys. Shea probably won't make the team, but at least he's got shot.
Reid loves Harbaugh coached players. So does Bill Belichick. Bill is a big fan of Saban, Harbaugh, and Greg Schiano.
It's quite a testament that some of the most successful NFL coaches are eager to take the talent developed by Harbaugh.
Mike Tomlin has also spoken highly of Michigan players.
And Harbaughs ravens like plucking guys from Ryan Day’s team.
Sounds like par for a Michigan Rb
There’s no way Weber would have made it through anyway after they drafted a RB in the first round
I mean I wish we'd actually beaten Weber when he was in Columbus but I'll take the small victories.
His dying words (hopefully many decades from now) will be "I should have signed with Michigan."
Thoughts like this help me sleep at night.
Oh, that is just heavenly.
Now that's some good news.
All to sweet the way this turns out!
This is good news for UM. Weber was a guy we wanted but end if the day he f-ing screwed us so Mike Weber can just twist in the wind to the CFL or high school coaching. No sympathy. Had he come to AA, he might have been an All-BiG selection. At OSU ? Just a JK Dobbins backup. .
Edit - in Michigan high school sports ? Weber is mud.
I won't root for a guy to lose his job but I don't feel bad after seeing him play dirty at Ohio State, including hitting Michigan players after the whistle in the game.
Does this count as a “win” over Ohio St now? C’mon guys.
For sure a win. Message to highest rated Michigan high schoolers ... OSU is just offering you to block your Michigan offer. Fuck Ohio forever. If you live in Michigan, accept the fact that OSU HATES YOUR FUCKING ASS ... even one of their "own" like Mike Weber is doomed.
edit - fuck Mike Weber, stupid shit. Good luck with that OSU "degree" in the State of Michigan. Lol
Did he even get a degree? Serious question but with all the online "help" available. probably did.
Mike Weber is a cheapshot artist bitch and I’m glad he got cut for Michigan players.
It's time to let it go....
He did get let go.
Can't think of a better guy...
Higdon > Weber
absolutely terrible take
This makes me...
H A P P Y
I hope the traitor has to walk home or take a greyhound from KC.
God forbid a kid chooses a program that is much more likely to put him in the NFL, and did... even with J.K. Dobbins coming in the following year and stealing carries. UM had 4 (four!!) offensive linemen drafted this year, yet when was your last RB taken in the draft? Quick check... Denard Robinson, in 2013 (LoL).
Perhaps you should improve your program and positional development before you start shitting on kids as "traitors". Thanks pumpkin.
This is hilariously petty.
Well I'm glad Patterson got his shot in the NFL I always feel for someone who loses their job...having experienced this myself I know what it feels like.
Maybe that dirty OSU ref can pat his ass a few times to console him
i'm honestly surprised he got drafted in the first place. he always seemed like Just A Guy at ohio state.
Laugh it up now....His next gig will be reffing games and he'll be officiating the UM-OSU matchup a few years from now. The B1G won't see any conflict of interest either.
"After foregoing his final season of eligibility at OSU, the Cowboys made Weber a seventh-round choice in 2019, but he failed to make the roster out of training camp."
Considering the near-veneration of OSU recruiting by some on the board and the frequent trashing of Karan Higdon for not getting drafted, I'm surprised this info about Weber hasn't gotten more attention here.
I guess the friendly pats on the ass by an OSU homer ref didn't help Weber any.
I've quite enjoyed his fall from grace. Crazy he even got drafted IMO.
Amen to this post
I'm not going to root for a guy to lose his job and his livelihood. Given the times we're all in where people are losing their jobs left and right, and with me wondering if I'm even still going to have a job in three months, I feel for the guy on that front.
He has a shitty taste in schools and I will relish watching every time he loses, but as far as being able to work and provide for himself and his family, I hope he gets another opportunity.
I don't get these posts. Honestly, I don't wish ill on any kid, regardless of stupid decisions in his life (e.g., going to OSU).
Nice twist of the knife there...
However, its contrary to popular belief within the Michigan Faithful... who all seem to be resting their pride on the fact that Michigan far surpasses OSU in education; which it does. Rather than football prowess.
Michigan has NOT been a football powerhouse in a long time, lets just be honest about it. The sooner M grads can admit this, the better off you'll be, and maybe... just maybe... someone will change that thought process after Harbaugh gets kicked to the curb... and he will.
Worst case scenario he did get a free four year education, right?
