I don't care all that much but honestly that's freaking sweet. I like the nostalgic feel of them. I just got goosebumps thinking about UM kicking msu's ass, so there is that.

On Henne being a robot:

"He was ruthless, precise, and busy calculating digits of pi deep into the millions. He has a heart of nails and lungs made from old tires; his hair consists of pipe cleaners cropped short and his bones are discarded pipes. You have to whack him in just the right spot at just the right time to get his late-model Soviet guidance chip to seat itself in his shoddy southeast Asian motherboard."

If true, I’m fine with this. Contrast-wise it makes more sense at Penn State, but the last (and only) time we wore these maize pants at PSU the game was a disaster. I’m not a huge fan of these particular maize pants with the white jerseys, but it makes sense to do this at least occasionally and at Michigan State is a sensible venue for both aesthetic and rivalry reasons.

What I'm surprised no one is discussing is the pants themselves. They have really moved to something like tights. Takes my old eyes a little while to adjust.

I don't get too invested in the uniforms, but I do like that they are resisting commercializing heck out of them, and avoiding looking gimmicky. Aesthetics often remain a domain where differences don't reside in too much deep thought. But someone at the helm is making sound decisions.

But it’s by far what we’ve won the most away games in our history. I will be honest I haven’t been a fan of all kinds of alternate uni’s since the 2011 @MSU bumblebee game. I didn’t mind consistently wearing the all whites with a stripe, but having all these change ups seems a little silly to me, I say just let that be Oregon’s thing…I respect Bama and PSU for staying true, and I like when we do too, and Maize pants has always been what I remember a lot of Michigan road victories in.

I grew up with and loved the 80s-early 90s road uniforms, and when they changed them in 97 I was initially resistant. However, I grew to love them, and would appreciate a return to some variation on that look. Yes, it helps that Michigan saw the highest level of success in my lifetime in those uniforms; it also helps that they looked good on the players.

I am a huge fan of the all white, no maize border on numbers.  The new road whites are way cooler than the maize pants on the road.  and it makes all the yellow pants the buckeyes collect stupider.

Next to their best-in-class home uniform, Michigan's road uniforms seem like degrees of imperfect.

If the maize pants make people happy, great. They'll also stand out against Sparty green.

When I see them I think of all the road atrocities of the past twenty years. For whatever reason I don't think of the Woodson interception in the '90s (which seems like the go-to counterpoint on this site).

Nice!

I honestly like all combos of our road unis. Nothing can compare to our home set but the newer road whites with the simple blue numbers and no outlines are great.

Here’s to a 2003esq drubbing!

I prefer the white pants in general. But more specifically, we've done quite well wearing them in East Lansing so the slightly superstitious part of me doesn't like changing it up for this game.
