Best Tweet after the Bama loss

Good tweet, but thats a base challenger. 300HP isnt nothing, but it's not 707, especially in 3900lbs
October 12th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
About as real as (but much less hilarious than) this
October 13th, 2021 at 10:39 PM ^
It wasn't that bad. It was a quality loss to an SEC team that's now ranked #18.
Texas A&M so far:
That kind of reminds me of that one team's quality BIG loss in 2018:

From the link. Sound familiar ?
We see this from our fanbase ,, but its pretty much every fan base .

There is just something about reading comments from both Alabama and Ohio State fans when they are in misery that puts a smile on my face.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:42 AM ^
Yeah....lol.....they think "misery" is getting a single loss to a P5 team. Both of them are still well within the playoff picture and yet you'd think someone kicked their dog. Not that we are any better....but still.
October 12th, 2021 at 9:28 PM ^
I would like to run an experiment and find out how we'd act when we're top 5 and up every year.
October 12th, 2021 at 1:35 PM ^
I'm always left thinking: "One loss! Your team has won how much over the last decade and this is how you handle ONE loss?! How craven, how ungrateful, how little you know pain, how fickle, how undeserving can you be as a fan? I root for the fucking Lions, and Tigers, and Red Wings, and Pistons, and UM football and all of whom have won 0 over that time and have mostly been awful and this, THIS one loss has you saying and thinking your team is awful? Get the fuck out! I have absolutely no time for any hand wringing and complaints out of you."
In other words, I just get annoyed. No joy for me in this.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:31 AM ^
We like to think we're special, but we're not. Defeatist complaining about one's football team is universal.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:45 AM ^
“Chock” job.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:32 AM ^
Only dropping 4 spots following an unranked loss is TRASH, Alabama or not!
October 12th, 2021 at 12:59 PM ^
100%.
The undefeated power 5 teams (and Cincy) should be taking up spots 1-9 in the rankings. Insane that Bama is #5 with that loss. Hell, Kentucky beat Florida by a wider margin than Alabama, yet Kentucky is #11. Pre-season bias and nothing more.
October 12th, 2021 at 1:48 PM ^
The best part of reading the article is that it took me to the College Football Ranking Composite. It's like someone ate at the Old Country Buffet of CFB rankings and then vomited. But it has us ranked third (!!).
Which took me to DolphinSim which is a pretty sophisticated algorithm that has us ranked #1 in the nation (!). Not sure we should be ranked above Georgia, but I would take us in a game against anyone else, and I think we actually give Georgia a game at this point.
October 12th, 2021 at 2:07 PM ^
yes, let’s suggest that alabama is not one of the five best teams in the country.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:35 AM ^
There's only one rational decision that Alabama can make after a loss like that...
Fire Nick Saban

I hear Las Vegas has an opening.
October 12th, 2021 at 1:50 PM ^
Not anymore. The Raiders just hired Michael Barrett, and the NFL awarded them the Championship. No need to play the Super Bowl now.

Underrated comment of the day.

i’m willing to bet that miss terry clears every email he sends. or reads, for that matter.

USC has an opening

The Cougars had an excellent shot at a New Year’s Six bowl like the Fiesta, but are now likely to plummet all the way to the December 18 Independence Bowl against a Conference USA team in Shreveport.
Yikes! One loss and the Bowls say 'see ya!"

I like these but they are not as good as TWIS in my opinion. Some of the tweets are funny and make good use of sarcasm but I feel most of the memes aren't as clever as the twitter poster wants them to be. The pure vitriol and disdain for fans of their own team and coaches on message boards in TWIS was gold.
October 12th, 2021 at 12:09 PM ^
Credit to the Bama SBNation site for doing one again this week and featuring themselves!

It's missing the witty commentary to go along with the agony.
October 12th, 2021 at 12:40 PM ^
Holy shit are they spoiled. Maybe they are upset they missed on Rich Rod?
October 12th, 2021 at 12:32 PM ^
I would love for Brian to write those. TWIS was a lot more fun. These were not bad but TWIS was another level.
October 12th, 2021 at 12:41 PM ^
Yeah that would be great but I think Brian's got a lot on his plate at the moment, on and off the blog. Hang in there, pal.
I have to think the most difficult part of creating a TWIS column is going through 10-15 other blogs message boards for content. Sometimes it's fun but it can be exhausting just going through MGo win we WIN, let alone through a loss...

Let's all take a moment to appreciate the shoutout that the Kalamazoo College Hornets got in this piece (great school, by the way). ALSO! Since Hope College beat K-zoo 67-0 earlier in the season, by the logic that this article uses that means that Hope College football is also better than Alabama. Go Dutch!
October 12th, 2021 at 12:36 PM ^
A winless Umass student section rushing the field after defeating a winless UConn is a magical sight.
October 12th, 2021 at 12:41 PM ^
How’s Pete Finebaum doing? His level of misery after that game would be delicious.
October 12th, 2021 at 1:41 PM ^
I imagine he's drunk on his floor, crying to his Saban poster.
October 12th, 2021 at 12:45 PM ^
I don't understand that TAMU video/tweet at the end. Like, at all. What's with the weird leg raise? What does this story even mean? Why are they wearing overalls?
October 12th, 2021 at 1:48 PM ^
Perhaps the most amazing thing to me is that, while a fair number of Alabama fans certainly must remember the relative "meh" of the DuBose-Franchione-Shula years if nothing else, they seem to have forgotten how to handle even that level of adversity (a level which is far less than what other programs know). One little bump in the road and they go berserk down there, like that might mean the end. It's hilarious really.
October 12th, 2021 at 3:15 PM ^
To be fair: How many of them are drunk as hell? How many people posting inane stuff on here during and after games are drunk?
I suspect that a lot of stuff on forums etc. would come out very differently if there was a chip preventing people from logging onto the internet while under the influence.
October 12th, 2021 at 5:37 PM ^
Hmm...
Would you rather: 8-4 and beat OSU (still losing to MSU) or 11-1 with the loss being to OSU?
I am unsure. Probably the latter. 11-1 means more to recruits.
October 12th, 2021 at 9:31 PM ^
If you got in the CFP with that 11-1 it's a no-brainer.
October 12th, 2021 at 11:38 PM ^
Here is one more gem from the Bama partisans. It is quite a clever double entendres:
“So much for hitting the sack at 1/2
actually, I might go take a hammer to my balls, so…disregard”
October 13th, 2021 at 9:07 AM ^
The hammer comment put a chill down my spine.
October 13th, 2021 at 12:14 PM ^
Better a chill in your spine than a dent I your jewels
