pass the ball! i like how college is so physical, but come on. The refs need to be more consistent on both ends. Just sick of watching one thing be a foul on one end, and its just fine down at the other. i need consistency!

I love living and dying by the three... when we're draining them. Not so much when we're shooting terribly. Swings are going to happen, so it'd be nice to have an inside presence to help smooth things out a bit.

Refs are hosing us so far...Sims looks like his legs are dead. No energy. Manny not sharp either. Anyone else want to see Shep get a shot at guarding Luer? That guy is killing us.

....until we're down by more points than minutes left....thats when I start by worrying. Long way to go and UM has been a second half team all season long. They'll make a couple strong runs at Wisco in the second half. This is not over by a long shot.

I'm not gonna lie people, I took the bait on the 2nd Half line. UM -4.....that means as the final score goes, I have UM +7.....I would have jumped all over that if that was the actual game line......UM was favored by 4. I like what they've done all season coming out of the intermission.

Give Brian credit. He's been cautioning everyone the last few weeks that we weren't guaranteed a trip to the NCAA tourney. It could be that we're still a a year and another big man away from going to the big dance.

Don't tell me our basketball refs are getting as bad as the football replay refs. This is pretty crappy. Doesn't help that Wisco is shooting the lights out. I'm still trying to figure out why the refs called a foul at the end of regulation in the Illinois/Purdue game last night.

Shot less than 40% and couldn't shoot FTs. Wisky shot lights out. Neither of those things are going to hold up over time. It sucks, but that's basketball sometimes.

Agreed. It's going to take a few more games like this in the Big Ten for me to get really worried about this team, but I am disappointed in their lack of enthusiasm throughout the game. It's the Big Ten opener, play with a little bit of heart.

Yes and no. I don't think we lost because of "moral failing," but from what I saw there wasn't that much emotion throughout the game. No one looked excited. Teams in general, but especially teams as streaky as we are, play much better when they're pumped up. Some of that has to do with the crowd and such, but the players need to come out firing on all cylinders. However, like you said, this was a failure to perform. Failure to perform is not equivalent to moral failing, but moral failing contributes to failure to perform.
