Lynn Henning Picks Sparty

Submitted by Hoke_Floats on
So, here's the score, even as a head still shakes over a spread I utterly can't believe: Michigan State 45, Michigan 28.

From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20101007/OPINION03/10070446/1361/Spartans-a-good-bet-to-roll-past-Wolverines-again#ixzz11h2uEgdS
I like our chances. He is such a spartan homer its not even funny.

He uses the Wisky game to prove how awesome sparty is, but the fraudgers played no one tough (on the road at least) before MSU

Why not use ND as a yard stick? B/C that would prove the game would be close with the edge going to UofM for winning 1st on the road (thats why)

"So, here's the score, even as a head still shakes over a spread I utterly can't believe: Michigan State 45, Michigan 28 As for that two- or three-touchdown edge that still seems about right, I'll bow to Vegas and split the difference." Okay, Lynn, you idiot, let's do that math: Vegas = Michigan win by 5. You think MSU wins by 14-21. (call it 17) If you "split the difference" then your prediction should be MSU by 6.

We don't need to know every fucking prediction by every media outlet!

What does Obama think the score will be?

What about granholm!

Predictions mean nothing let's just let the boys on the field decide it.

Enough

you don't think that it is interesting that this guy picks sparty in a blow out?

not even a tiny bit?

granholm...really?

a sports writer for one of the newspapers in the largest city in the state... his opinion is not interesting to you, even in passing? really?

obama? really?

predicitons won't determine the score? really?

You will learn that there is a small sector of people in this community that freak out anytime anyone posts, or mentions, game predictions.

However, for some reason, these are the same people that thrive of predictions of recruits, pre-season rankings, and pre-season prediction for 2-deep, transfers, position changes, coaching moves, bowl projections, etc.

Which is basically everything that is college football.... excpet the games themselves. Which make up 13 of 365 days a year (if you are lucky).

So, Negative Nancies... if talking UM predictions is so Off-Topic, then you should follow your own bitching-rules and only post on the UM Live-Blog during games. Everything else is useless speculation in either "what could have been done" or "what can be done."

The other option, of course, is to ignore posts/subjects that annoy you. But you can't stop yourself from being heard... can you?

Would do a better job than henning look at how well he did on his final four bracket.

Look at granholm she gave a no hitter! Her opinion clearly matters more than henning.

The point is that these are opinions by people who don't know jack shit.

Their opinions don't mean a thing, don't effect the outcome of the game and are a waste of putting up on this board.

If we posted every fucking prediction that is all that would be on this board.

In sum: stop it!

Chuck Norris says Michigan wins by 4 touchdowns. Oh, he also says that Denard will land a massive Hooh Kick to the helmet of one Greg Jones, rendering him unconscious and useless. Rather than being ejected, the officials will applaud Denard's multi-faceted game and call a personal foul on Jones, insult to injury.

He's obviously a Spartan fan. So, in a tossup he is going to go with his favorite team. Not that surprising. Let's just watch the game on the field.

Oh Sparty slap Henning, how confused are you of the way vegas works? While he remains stunned that MSU is not a 14-21 point favorite, I ask him to explain to me how 95% of the bets are going to MSU, but somehow the line has only been bumped down to -4.5? Looks to me that the wise guys are laying massive bets on the good guys. They don't set lines to go bankrupt Lynn.

While we are at it Lynn. I am still aiting on Cale Iorg to be that regular fixture at the MLB ALL-Star game that you promised us.

At least Henning has the balls to pick something besides "it could go either way, but I'll take X over Y 38-35."

But, he forgot to factor in Cousins' three ints on the day and UM's blocked punt that sets up a first and goal. And Lewan getting away with holding all day. Oh, and Baker's 45 yard TD run being called back for an illegal block in the back. So, UM 38-35

that we can stop committing them ourselves. Two "crack back" blocks in one season. I had to f#%king look it up to even see what it was for crying out loud.

Those kind of things are such drive killers.

I'm going to go crazy in the next two days, I just know it. You can find me Saturday afternoon in row 83. I'll be the guy with a fistful of hair in each hand, arms folded clutching my stomach, rocking back and forth uttering nonsensical phrases recounting why we might win and why we might lose.

By the end of the game I'll either be in a state of utter euphoria or dead.

prediction I have ever seen. A Michigan State blowout victory is the only outcome that I personally guarantee will not take place. A Michigan blowout I could see, I do not think it is going to happen necessarily, but I could see a scenario in which it did. I could also see a close Michigan win, and also a close Michigan State win. A Michigan State blowout win on the road in the Big House means that Michigan completely sucks and that Michigan State is very-very good. I already know both of those things to be false. If Michigan State wins, it will be by 7 points of less - I would bet the house on that.
