As someone who sat in the stands for the great upset of OSU in1969, I can't remember a time I've been more proud of our Wolverines. Go Blue!

What a difference a year makes. I remember in that one game last year when Jim had to tell guys to get off their ass and get pumped up when Henning made that big play.

Wait, so now we can have a "Karsen Barnhart Epic Double Bird of the Week"?

As bummed as that OSU team looked, wish we could have punched in that second drive (got greedy, should have given to Haskins). That Buckeye squad might have collapsed completely down tow TDs halfway through the 1Q.

Even down by one at halftime, Ohio State did not seem psychologically put together to get through this game at all, almost as if they imploded inside at the first moment of real adversity for them, which of course came rather early and was then repeatedly compounded. That's not the team that people in the national media hype, but that's the team we in fact received on the field in Ann Arbor. It was fun to watch them run about completely frazzled for once really.

The only thing all of the high 4- and 5-star players on this OSU team have ever known is a lot of smoke blown up their asses about how great they are, starting in high school. The recruiting process magnifies this glorification, and it's hard for kids who are 18-20 to keep their heads from getting swelled. It's inevitable that they start believing all the hype, and that's the origin of what happened yesterday.

They had schematic issues for sure, but that's not all of what happened yesterday. As somebody on 11W said, "we could have put 14 in the box and they could have told us what was coming, and Haskins would still be running."

That was a win by submission. There's not much you can do to help schematically once your players have tapped out. (Their defense I mean. Their offense kept working; their defense had had enough.)

Wow what a contrast. OSU looked like they wanted to go home. Michigan looked like they didn’t even want halftime. Just take OSU back on the field and continue the ass whipping

I fucking love it! Only up by 1 and this team is like hurry the fuck up and get this halftime over, we fixing to beat that ass when y’all get back on the field!
Side note, too bad that OSU slappy ref from 2016 couldn’t have tripped and got stepped on around 85 times or so.

Coming out at half it just felt like this team wanted the fight at every step.  I can’t say osu didn’t want the fight but it sure felt like they were just expecting it to happen for them.

The way our team reacted to that scuffle after the JJ run compared to the way they did…showed that we were going to pull it off. We were fired up by it, they were defeated by it.

OSU was not on the same level mentally. Talk like this can easily get overblown; body language doesn’t say as much as people want it to say, etc. But OSU made mistakes, errors. Did stuff that was clearly not all plugged in. Just started the podcast and Brian is marveling at it.

And so maybe they didn’t always exactly play to their potential. And I say:

So what. This is the first time we have had a high stakes OSU game at home since 2003. Every year that we’ve come into the game with a chance to win something since, it has been at OSU against an elite OSU team. 06, 16, and 18 in particular. Every year our team peaked, they were at a peak and at home.

This year our team peaked. Had the game at home. Came out confident, ready to play.

OSU was taken off guard.

They didn’t totally melt down. Stroud played well. Their receivers were great as usual.

But they entered the cauldron against a better team and it threw them off.

Now THAT is a level of enthusiasm now known to mankind.  M looked like they knew a beat down was about to be completed.

Cade and coach are right, this team is just built different.  Love to see it.

The entire team played and acted exactly like real Wolverines in the wild. Relentless. Scary. Smart. Mean …..and looking for “fights”.

The boys didn’t give a shit about the past, and for sure didn’t give a f%#* about anyone in-front of them. They were pissed off and it was glorious.
