Little Brother vs TUOSU

Submitted by DFRoweJR on

Well i have spent most of the day listening to 97.1 FM while at work here is Southfield, Mi. and I am absolutely sick of Little Brother fans on that station rubbing it in about our loss to Toledo and about how good they are.

I know its been talked about before and I know it goes against all that being a Michigan fan stands for but I can't take it any more. I am officially rooting for TUOSU to beat Little Brother this Saturday!

I just really want someone to knock them off their high horse and to keep them fro even sniffing a Rose Bowl this year. We'd never hear the end of it. That would make our already depressing season even worse in my eyes.

I was already pulling for the Wildcats to do this last Saturday and it didn't happen so I guess I have to pull for TUOSU this weekend to get it done.

I mean I have to put up with Little Brother all the time at work and on the local sports talk stations around here and I have just had enough. At least I respect TUOSU and for that reason, I just have to do the the unthinkable and root for the enemy this weekend.

Am I way off base in this thinking?

Yes, you're way off.

MSU still represents the state.  They are our little brother and sometimes little brothers can do and say stupid things.  But they are kin.

The University of Ohio State represents everything evil and vile in this corrupt world that we live in.  You should never, EVER find yourself pulling for them under any circumstances.  Ever.  "But if THEY win, then we look real good!"  No, you don't give in to that crap.  I don't care if they're playing the professional teams like USC or Florida.  You don't ever, ever, ever, ever root for TUoOS.

Just like when you're not sure if a guy is a dude or a chick?  You don't guess on that ever, ever, ever, ever.

And you don't pull for the Suckeyes ever, ever, ever, ever.

There is one (ONE) occasion when I will root for osu: if they ever were to play Notre Dame.  Just my opinion, but I absolutely cannot stand ND.  It's like choosing between Russia and the Nazi's in WWII, they both suck, but the Nazi's where slightly more evil, and in my book, ND = the Nazi's (per this analogy, not literally... ok maybe).

That's what posting + Sudafed gets you.  How could I have forgotten about the Notre Dame exception??

I do know that if they actually played, and I found myself having to root for TUoOS over the Domers, I would need a mean shower aferwards, complete with a wire brush and Comet...

there is no reason to vote for anyone in this game...just hope terrel pryor suffers 3 ligament tears in his knee and javon ringer breaks a leg...thats the best we can hope for, cuz i dont want either team to win this game

OhHowIHateOhioState!!!!

We have a friendly bet each year with the MSU folks -- the winner of the game eats steak (bought by the loser), the loser eats beans!!

It has been so bad, that the sparties were given pity and we gave them shrimp, etc. to go with their annual beans.

This year I plan to only eat beans (I won't take their pity).

And yeah, I do think this year we lose to sparty.

Its only this one time, I promise. Have you never rooted for TUOSU to be undefeated leading up to the big game so we can either ruin their perfect season, win the Big Ten Championship and possibly being heading to the national championship game? Remember how awesome that week was before Bo died in '06?

I don't really care what OSU is like going into the game.  The only rooting interests I have for them is this: one, that they don't suck for a long protracted period, and by suck I mean not bowl-eligible, and by protracted period I mean three years or more.  This hasn't ever happened and likely never will.  And two, if we have beaten them in the game and if their season hasn't been national championship-esque and they aren't playing a bowl game opponent that I have some liking for, then I will pull for them in the bowl game for the sake of the Big Ten.

Against Sparty?  Sparty can beat them any year, any time as far as I'm concerned.  We just have to take care of business against Little Brother and then they can't talk.

Plus, it won't matter much anyway.  It seems like most MSU fans that get really annoying care more about what Michigan does on Saturdays than their own team.

It's like watching a drunken alley bum squaring off against a meth addict. I'll feel dirty watching it and not really care who wins except that I feel slightly bad for the bum and feel nothing but disgust for the meth addict.

Although I don't wish death on either of them I hope that they beat each other up and through watching the fight I also hope to spot each of their weaknesses because when they're done fighting, they will inevitably be coming for me.

Wait! What am I doing in this filthy alley in the first place? What has led me to this loooowly state? Oh. That's right. I'm 2-4 and just lost to Toledo.

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever root for tUoOS unless if they happen to be playing ND.

I mean, logically, I'm praying for an outcome in which they both lose, but that can't happen, so little bro gets the vote.

When your obnoxious, bratty, mouthy little brother takes on the neighborhood bully who was shaving at 11 (and so was his sister) and was held back two grades, has foul breath, and has kicked your own personal ass one too many times for your liking, you don't root for the block's Neanderthal.  Go Little Brother!

nope, i can't do it. like i said, i actually have respect for TUOSU and 0 for little bro. they haven't earned it, much like the fighting JoePas. Plus, like I said, I actually have to deal with little bro fans everyday.

State all the way.  I live in Ohio and have to deal with the gayness of buckeye fans.  A buddy of mine, who is graduating from tUOS this year, was so crushed by the USC crushing, was pretty humbled for about a month since that game.  Now he's on the "Pryor is playing and Wells is healthy" kick, and thanks they deserve a shot at USC again.  I just want him to be humbled again haha. I cant root for tUOS, its impossible for me no matter who they play.

I was rooting for OSU, but not out of any emotional reasons.  I agree that OSU fans are worse.  I just think it's not in our best interests for MSU to have a good season.  We and OSU can be good at the same time, but it's harder for us and MSU to be good.  We share the same recruiting territory.  Sure, you can say that we'll have our crack at them next week, but that's just one game.  If Sparty were to lose to us but win out, they'd still get a lot of hype.  It's better that their annual nosedive starts now.
