LINK: Inside Michigan Football

Submitted by mich_hockey_6 on
It's my understanding that Inside Michigan Football airs at 10:30am on Sundays. However, living in Lansing, I don't believe I can watch it when it comes on. Does anyone know where it can be found? I looked on Channel 7's page and couldn't find it. I also don't see it on MGoVideo. Help!! Link: http://www.mgoblue.com/collegesportslive/?media=504212

Thank you. After my dad graduated from UofM, he got a job in Lansing. I was born 5 years later. I've never known anything else. I grew up playing hockey out of Lansing and every year they have a couple MSU players come out to practice and take pictures with us kids, to my annoyance. I have pictures with various Miller brothers (Kip, Kevin and Kelly) covering the Michigan stickers I had on either side of my helmet.

break down of the game with the coach. During my time watching Michigan Replay, the show that was with Bo. The new show is OK but Harbaugh only talked for a few minutes. Bo, Mo and Carr would go over several of the plays with Brandy. I just liked it more since the coach was there to talk about what went well or wrong with a play.

a much better format.

It always opened with Brandy and Head Coach Bo/Mo/Llo showing and describing game highlights, followed by a feature story (about a player, a coach, or other Michigan Football-related content), and ending with a preview of the following week's opponent.

And the Michigan Replay theme music.  It changed a few times over the years, but as soon as it came on, you dropped everything and raced to the TV.  Good stuff !!!

This all came to an end once Lloyd left and RichRod came in, as RR reportedly didn't like filming it immediately the same evening as a game, preferring instead to wait until early the following week.

As I recall reading several years ago, the title "Michigan Replay" is owned by the man or company that produced the show for several decades. Likely this means some sort of an agreement would have to be worked out in order to resurrect the title and the show itself.

The theme from 110th jump street for the intro to the original Michigan Replay was a genius! When ever I here this I think of the hey day of Michigan football! I wonder if the Royalties cost to much in '86 or '87 when they discontinued this theme song from Michigan Replay?

while watching highlights of the game, usually the day after the game. Other than that there wasn't much difference in my humble (opinionated) opinion. All apologies if I made a mess of "Brandys" name.

It was Rich Rod who refused to do the show and insisted on a weekly 'preview' show, rather than post game reviews as was the case with Bo, Mo & Lloyd. I'm in CO and 'Michigan Replay' airs on Fox Sports Central on Mon & Weds after the game weekend. Some others may have similar cable coverage of you search for it. We have DVR set for not every Monday b/c we can't get it live Sunday here.

comment regarding RichRod, as that was yet another reason for the demise of Michigan Replay as we knew it.

Did you mean "Inside Michigan Football" on FSC?  I'm guessing you do, as Monday is when it's also aired on FoxSportsDetroit each week (followed by repeat showings several times through  Friday that week).

Yeah, I just called it Michigan Replay but I know it's now Inside Michigan Football And it's probably FS Detroit here too. It's pretty cool because we get a fair amount of M Hockey games and other local Detroit stuff on it. Wasn't dropping a gratuitous RR shot but that was something he changed right away. He didn't want to be second-guessed or questioned after the fact and did the preview show instead with a lot of 'golly, gee ..they're a tough team' coach speak. You could tell he didn't like doing the show.

I did. I also saw a much less panic-stricken team than last year, especially with Rudock. Devin operated in a state of panic and a "I have to make this work no matter what" mentality at all times. Rudock was very measured, and composed, especially in the face of adversity. That's a 180 from last year. I can see the pieces come together, even with some deficits at a couple positions. I didn't have that feeling at all last year.

No wonder RR didn't want a replay show. He had a few rough seasons to go through. It's one thing to break down a loss 1-4 times per year. It's another to sit there 5-8 times.

I couldn't have said it any better and it seems like with the team on the same page, everyone is scaling it back a little bit...even with Rudock.

I said it immediately after the game, we lost...but that was the most fun I've had watching Michigan in a long time. I always felt like we had a chance and I saw so much improvement.

For once in a looong time, it felt like we belonged on the field with Utah as a solid team and we just weren't hoping and praying for big plays to steal a win. Outside of Devin's game versus ND (UTLII), I haven't felt that way in quite some time.

I'm extra excited for Saturday because I think it should be a huge tell on the season. A Hoke team, win or lose would come out and make it ugly, not execute and there would be no control in the game (like @UConn). I think we go out and even if it's not a blowout, I think we control the football game...at least that's my hope.

I still have optimism that this team is going to be very solid. BYU (sadly) just lost their starting QB, we get Minnesota after a bye, and PSU looks like trash. Those, to me, felt like our toughest games outside of the two rivals.

Nonetheless, great show. I'd get Morris some reps with the 1's this week, but I still think we'll be fine with Rudock. It just felt like a REALLY bad game. If it would've come against Minnesota late in the year and he played the way we expected before then, I don't think we would've seen such a freakout. Unfortunately it was game 1. I see a lot to learn from and improvement on the way.

It reminded me of a time when Bob Griese was in the booth.  On one peticular play he commented on the running back went one way and the QB went another, the qb was thrown for a loss. First Kieth Jackson says "the qb must have went the wrong way". Griese says well thats a 5th year qb and a freshman running back, now, who do you think went the wrong way? So I won't blame Rudock for that one. I suppose the killer pick 6 was his fault, but he was trying to make a play and not punt the ball away late in the game. I believe we will be fine with Jake.
