After watching the Cotton Bowl I think he would be a great fit in our offense. Their defense was aggresive and was after that ball.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:12 AM ^
I thought LSU looked very good in the Cotton Bowl tonight. I'm not a fan of Les as an in game coach overall, but they looked good tonight. He is a good recruiter and typically gets top 10 recruiting classes.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:21 AM ^
Seemed to me that LSU ran a power running offense, which I'm not sure would be ideal for Denard. Of course, they may change with personnel. What I like about Les Miles is he's more of a true CEO--he delegates to his assistants, does not micro-manage too much. (Ironically, the same can't be said of Michigan's ex-CEO AD.)
January 8th, 2011 at 12:23 AM ^
Agree 100%. We could still use alot of the personel RR recruited in that offense. Maybe even keep Denard. And I really liked how that defense looked. Lets do this Les!
January 8th, 2011 at 1:01 AM ^
what?
January 8th, 2011 at 1:26 AM ^
January 8th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
I know Hoke and Les have their drawbacks (okay A LOT of drawbacks) but I have no problem getting behind either one. Fwiw, I've gone against all my beliefs and read some of the comments on espn.com articles on both Les and Hoke and both fan bases seem really worried about losing their coaches. If they can get behind theirs, why cant we with ours?
I.E. this article http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/blog?name=feldman_bruce&id=5991231 (SIAP)
These comments are definitely tolerable.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:09 AM ^
You read the comments on espn.com? Damn, I thought this coaching search business was punishment enough.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:11 AM ^
it must be true
January 8th, 2011 at 12:24 AM ^
Please don't be Suh.
It sounds like they are pushing for an out of court settlement, so maybe we'll never know who it is.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:01 AM ^
I sat two rows from Suh at a Red Wings game, and a guy came up to him with a beer and asked to take a photo and he said only if the guy put the beer down so it wasn't in the picture....
January 8th, 2011 at 12:41 AM ^
Quick, throw money at the problem! It'll all go away soon.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:41 AM ^
maybe delmas after the gun incident it seems possible
January 8th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
Miles post game comments seemed like those of someone about to jet. The way he was so complimentary of the fans, and the state in general seemed odd, that said it is Les Miles, but I get the sense he was buttering them up before an exit.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:10 AM ^
During the game a reporter said on the air that he had talked to Miles and not only did Miles say something along the lines of "I'm having so much fun here, why would I leave?", but he insisted that he hadn't even been contacted by Michigan.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:13 AM ^
That sounds like something a coach would say who IS about to leave.
No "I" haven't been contacted...my agent has. And why say something as coy as "Why would I leave, I'm having so much fun here" when you could say "I'm not interested in Michigan, only LSU"
January 8th, 2011 at 12:17 AM ^
my thoughts exactly
January 8th, 2011 at 12:19 AM ^
a guy says "What are you doing tonight?" to a girl instead of "I desire to have sexual intercourse with you in my bedroom and will make appropriate relevant social gestures in the meantime."
He's about to coach a BCS bowl game...why would he worry about people looking into his words too carefully?
January 8th, 2011 at 12:29 AM ^
HTTP 403 to you, sir. I'll buy that (and hope it's not just wishful thinking).
January 8th, 2011 at 12:43 AM ^
You sure are big on your BCS bowls, M-Wolverine. How do we know you're not secretly one of their agents, planted among us to shape public perception to your own favor?
January 8th, 2011 at 1:01 AM ^
No good.
Oops, did I give myself away....?

Can i convince you into another thread? The Late Late Night Thread?
January 8th, 2011 at 1:25 AM ^
With the stupidity in this one. It seems like RCMB is trying to infiltrate us again.

But maybe for you. Though I am pissed I didn't make your MGoBlog coaching staff....
January 8th, 2011 at 1:26 AM ^
I got one of the buggers in the Friday Hockey @ MSU thread. Check it out sometime, it was a fun debate!
January 8th, 2011 at 1:33 AM ^
I am down with releasing Magnus of his coaching duties. He doesn't understand MGoBlog culture. Welcome aboard. It will be my first announcement on the new thread.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:48 AM ^
Cotton Bowl officials were attempting to join as a BCS bowl after the last contract ran out in 2010 and I didn't know if they were successful. Apparently not.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
he's adamantly denying any involvment with Michigan, but then again, coaches almost always say that. I'm wagering that if nothing is anonunced this weekend about anyone not named Hoke, then it's going to be Hoke.
January 8th, 2011 at 2:37 AM ^
Way to talk about opening the check book to get the best and then getting the only guy that would have paid to be here.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
it's down to Les Miles or Brady Joke? I worked all day and have no access to this site, or any site for that matter.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:14 AM ^
Leslie Jeremiah Miles, or whatever the fuck your name is. We need your mad-hatter ass.
Or, maybe we don't and need program stability and growth.
Hell, I don't know.
Harbaugh's dead, I'm numb and confused.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:26 AM ^
Harbaugh is so dead to me right now.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:30 AM ^
Michigan and who ever is playing the 49ers.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:45 AM ^
This is what's been missing from the Michigan psyche all these years. All of our arch-rivals have another team that they can hate with blind, undying hatred when all else fails. ND has USC. Ohio State has the SEC. Michigan State...well...they have basketball. Now that there is a Judas among us, we can turn on this false prophet and ostracize him for the good of the greater community.
If someone makes "My favorite teams are Michigan and Whomever Plays the 49ers" bumper stickers, I'll buy a dozen.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:56 AM ^
Oh come on, damnit! Let a tired semi-drunk guy indulge in his bitterness!
January 8th, 2011 at 12:57 AM ^
I'm agreeing with you, so you should either stop drinking or stop posting...:-)
January 8th, 2011 at 1:12 AM ^
Thought you were being sarcastic.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:16 AM ^
Not at all. My goal is someday to hate the 49ers as much as my dad (Browns fan) hates the Steelers.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:18 AM ^
I just posted on WJBO facebook page:
Brady Hoke to LSU...Book it.
Let's see if they bite.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:29 AM ^
Dude, are you fucking this up?!
January 8th, 2011 at 1:31 AM ^
If this you mean LSU's football program, then yes, I am totally trying to fuck this up.
That's what I do, fuck shit up.

hackney dropping bombs? water is wet?
January 8th, 2011 at 1:36 AM ^
Now you have tempted me to post the atomic bomb clip on their wall.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:20 AM ^
My dad was a Browns fan and hated the Steelers. Hell, my grandmother hated the Steelers.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:28 AM ^
Both of my parents grew up in Cleveland in the '50s, right at the zenith of pro sports there. My mom isn't big into sports, but even she knows that STEELERS = BAD. My dad still bemoans the fact that the Browns passed up the opportunity to draft Roethlisberger.
January 8th, 2011 at 1:28 AM ^
stopping drinking is not an option!
January 8th, 2011 at 1:29 AM ^
I'll drink to that.

Michigan Man status: REVOKED
At least RR actually wanted to coach here.
