So, you're saying we've still got a chance? Good news.

I hope wherever he goes he takes his cute little beaver with him!

Is anyone an ESPN insider? In the rumours section it says we are close to have a OL and DB commit to us? So the OL must be Fisher. But, Is it McClure or Raven for DB?

Is about Bryant and Clark, in a positive vein, according to Bill Kurelic.

the rumor is talking about Bryant and Clark - they mention McClure but they simply say "High three-star corner back Stefan McClure has been an almost sure bet to stay somewhere on the Left Coast. But new Michigan man Brady Hoke is doing his best to change that."

Does anyone get the feeling that all of the current players we are getting, are grading out much HIGHER than what R.R. was recruiting? Next year should show what Hoke-A-mania can do with the Block "M" in his back pocket. This new staff has busted their asses just to be able to get in the conversations with most of these kids. GO BLUE!!!!!!!!

No, I don't get that feeling at all, because it's not the case. I think Hoke is doing fairly well considering the situation, and frankly I'm extremely relieved that we haven't lost more recruits and current players. But no, our current recruiting class is grading out lower than past classes.
If we can get 8-9 wins next year, which I hope/believe we should be able to get (with RR's recruits), I do think Hoke will be able to put together a top 20 (if not higher) recruiting class.

No.
Rodriguez probably would have pulled in Raymon Taylor if he hadn't been fired, so that's a wash.
Rodriguez also had Demetrius Hart in the fold, who would have been the highest rated player in the class overall.
The only players who have committed to Hoke have been Taylor, a couple 3-stars, and a 2-star, so it's not like there's been much of a difference so far.
If Hoke Poole and Willingham actually commit, then maybe I'll agree with you. But with the kids who are actually committed right now, Rodriguez actually had a higher rated group.

Rivals has Raven listed as a solid verbal to A&M while Scout has nothing listed for him yet, and in fact has "No Interest" next to the Aggies.
Hmmm.
EDIT: Both Balas and Helmholdt have posted on the Fort with quotes from Raven that he has NOT committed to A&M, and will be visiting Michigan this weekend. FWIW apparently AggieYell mods aren't optimistic on their chances.
