No, he was not a lock.  And dude, slow your roll on the Cali pipeline thing.  We're 2-3 months into the Harbaugh era, and really only a handful of weeks into recruiting the 2016 class.  Maybe give it a touch longer before declaring a (brand new) pipeline good/bad.

The article has no direct quotes from KJ and it's basically just the writer speculating. Nobody has said his visit is cancelled yet that I have heard of either. The article was more speculation than anything fact based. Seems like the writer saw the kid with a USC visor on and decided to run with what he felt was going to happen.

I'll believe it when I see a direct quote. He really seems like he wants to see campus in the next few weeks. If he doesn't make it, there's Peters out there. Plus it sounds like they are recruiting Eason hard and he's been looking really good this weekend.

“This is ridiculous. I hope he reads this blog and decides not to come to Michigan just because of your comment.” Was that a sarcastic come back by you, bigyellowtaxi? I know some sarcasm can be clear without the (/s) sign, but you have me wondering. It sure feels like that comment needed the (/s) sign if it was sarcasm. And I’m not even the one who negged you about it.

missed my point.

I merely stated that IF this kid chooses not to come to Michigan because of the WEATHER which I saw was the conjecture earlier in the post, then we don't need a kid like that.

I wasn't casting aspersions on the kid or getting upset because he won't come to Michigan. The spirit of the message was to point out that he would have an amazing opportunity to develop his skills under the tutelage of JH.  If he doesn't choose to come here because of something as trivial as the weather.: Which he would need to overcome at the next level anyway.  Well then so be it. . .

False. What you "merely stated" was "F him." Which is just a ridiculous thing to say to a 17 year old kid for not choosing the school you like.

Don't put weight in this. He retweeted Michigan things 17 hours ago and 4 days ago. He is supposedly on commit watch. I assume he is just trying to fit it into his schedule, he is a busy kid right now.

as a viable source of information as to why he may still come here? And you know the times to? Dude you may want to step back and get outside. Here's a piece of advice: teenagers dont think much about what people read from their tweets. Me included. I'm sure he retweeted whatever it was because it probably involved him and being recruited by a prestigious university is pretty damn cool, even if he doesnt want to be here.

asked to compete against several other four and five star players is not an inducement to come to Michigan regardless of who the coach is.

If there isn't a fit, there isn't a fit. Best for all parties involved if the young man speaks up early in the process. If he is set on the state of California, so be it. That said, the fact that he even briefly seriously considered us despite being in the Midwest speaks volumes regarding the Jimmy Harbaugh effect.

I don't pay for access to these sites, so all I got out of your post was that there was news on a Top 100 WR.

Until the guy commnits elsewhere, I'd take all positive and negative news about him with giant grain of salt... unless of course he says things like: "Damn!  Michigan?  Are you freaking kidding me?  Sorry man, but I prefer for my temps to be positive.  Anything below 50F is too cold for people."

A lot of top notch recruits want to play immediately. I'm not saying he doesn't want to compete, but with 5-7 QB's on the roster, KJ might see a log jam and decided it is best to go somewhere the QB depth is a little less. Who knows, but if KJ has eliminated us I hope Harbaugh goes after Eason and Patterson hard to gauge interest before peters visits / commits. Peters is a good prospect, but I'm not as high on him as I am Costello, Patterson, and Eason. Those guys are top tier hs QB's, Peters is second tier, still very good, but noticeably not on the same level as the other guys mentioned. You would think the top QB's would be dying to play for Jim Harbaugh with his success in the nfl and with every QB he has touched as a coach. ALL YOUR QB'S ARE BELONG TO US!!!!

can you blame him? would you want to move away from home, to the barren cold, only to be 1 of 7 qbs fighting for pt? harbaugh or not, i can't fault him one bit for going to stanford or sc. good luck, kj.

Heisman Trophy caliber QBs, RBs, LBs, etc. they reel in huge quality depth at every position and kids don't seem to "fear competition" there...

Wonder why that is... $$ Tatts Urbz???
