Remember this de-commit? Now the starting safety for IU, has 6 tackles so far this season, 4 solo. This will be the first time we've seen him since he jilted us. Youse guys at the game Saturday, make sure he feels the verbal heat for his big mistake.

... he was a high 4-star rated safety. However, he barely played last year (in which Indiana's safeties were injured quite a lot) and didn't start at the beginning of this year. Is he better than our safeties right now? I'm not so sure given how he fared last year.

...i like "verbal" heat. As fandom becomes more specialized due to taking a somewhat creepy interest in the decisions of 16 and 17 year old high school boys as to where they play college, does cheering also become more specialized? As in, "soft verbal" booing, "verbal commit" booing, "decommit" booing (heaven help DQJones or Pearlie), "transfer" booing, or "Johnny Sears" booing? The possibilities are endless.

Why would you give someone verbal heat for choosing another school at 17/18 years old? He did not jilt us -- he jilted Florida -- and I guess I don't understand giving him a hard time unless he's made bulletin board comments or he once sat on a toilet seat after Tebow and thereby became a better person (because it was still warm). Besides, who are we to question the Angry-Michigan-Safety-Hating-god? He does things for a reason, even if it is unclear to us.

I believe he has a kid in Indy and wanted to be close for that reason. Thus the transfer from Florida. Interestingly, I thought I heard or saw that Finch didn't start the first few games for IU this year.

Canada is like our attic. Full of dust and shit we forgot about years ago. And most of them eem to have overbites. It's like their dentists all train in England, except they brush their teeth to at least keep their overbites whiter. I mean, they're a pain in the ass. Then they want to come here and try to change our language? "Youse"--what the fuck is that? "Oot"? "Aboot"? Oh, and by the way, thanks a hell of alot for John Saunders. ESPN's Sports Reporters used to be a great show until his vanilla ass took over. He's the only guy in the world who can make Mike Tirico look halfway cool. You can have him back.

Jerimy Finch committed to Michigan, decommitted in favor of Indiana, and then ended up signing with Florida in 2007. He went to Florida and played as a true freshman until he broke his ankle/foot/lower extremity. Then he transferred to Indiana, so yeah, he didn't play much last year, because he had to redshirt (unless something crazy happened). He should currently be a redshirt sophomore.
