This is Jedd Fisch's way of operating.  He's a job-hopper.  If he lasts 2 seasons at Washington I'll be shocked.  He's always looking for the next best thing.

Saw it when he was here, saw it in the NFL before he got here, saw it after he left.  He's like Mo Linguist in that regard.

He's a great coach and an excellent offensive mind, but Washington needs to have a list of replacements lined up right now.  He's not going to stay.

In honesty, it makes more sense that he interviewed with UCLA, as he was already the OC and interim head coach there in 2017. People hop around when trying to move up, I venture to say that's more of the norm than staying put, though interviewing for another job one month into your new job does appear to be Tennessee-era-Lane-Kiffen-esque.

I heard that Warde Manuel bought a bunch of exotic fish using money that was earmarked for the defensive coordinator's salary and then they all died because he forgot to feed them.

Record number of coaches jumping ship after barely landing on the ship they jumped from.

If this goes through, then I feel a lot of sympathy for Washington.  They are trying to do everything by the books, but no one is staying with them.  Recruiting there is fragile, and their sources to be a constant playoff contender are not there, either.

Hope we all enjoyed college football while it lasted.

Yes, college football is forever destroyed because a reporter got something wrong about Washington's coach interviewing at UCLA.

OP, what the fuck are you even talking about?

I agree that coach and player movement is accelerating, but don't think it's the "end of college football" or whatever dumb narrative OP was trying to push.  No one here was complaining about college football being ruined when we transferred in AJ Barner, Josh Wallace, Josaiah Stewart, etc. Similarly, no one is bitching in the thread about us stealing Wisconsin's DL coach.

When players and coaches come to Michigan, it's the best thing ever.  When players and coaches transfer to other schools, it means the world is ending as we know it.
