Jake Long may sign with Rams (Updated)
Jake Long has agreed to a deal with the Rams. The move should shore up the Rams porous OL that has caused Sam Bradford so much trouble since he was drafted. As a Rams fan this deal brings me great joy.
Edit: Looks like NBC Sports jumped the gun.
Glad to see he didn't end up up in the NFC North. Congrats on the new contract Jake!
Dang I was hoping the Packers might take a chance at him

Your signature and your avatar contradict your theory that the Packers never sign big-name free agents. Although I agree that they don't do so as often as, say, the Redskins or Eagles.
Yeah, this is also a good sign because it means that he passed his first physical. Want to see him have a great and long career like Hutchinson.
That makes two Longs on that team now.
Not only two longs, but they were also the first two picks of the 2008 draft. Pretty cool.
according to multiple reports it hasnt happened yet
As a Dolphins fan, whatever that is anymore, that sucks.
GO RAMS
Did he cost to much for the Lions??
Was hoping the Bears would take a chance on him. Our line is absolutely brutal however the signing of Bushrod helps a bit. Still need more OL though.
Am I the only one who wanted him on the Lions (assuming they could afford him)?
Okay, I'll go shoot myself now.

As a rams fan we may now have the best two players our of michigan and ohio state in the last 5 ish years in Jake Long and James Laurinitus
As someone who grew up a Rams fan back in the 70's - 80's than gave up on them when they left socal, (Anaheim, not L.A.) I may have to start following them again. Lord knows the Lions haven't earned my support (even though I have heartedly pull for them.)
well that...sucks. I don't know what it is about the Rams, ever since they lost Warner, and I suppose Bulger. I just think it would suck to play for them compared to other teams.
most asisine thing I've read so far this week.
I feel like this is some bizarro world of free agency. Arms injuries or not, Jake won't blow off both feet with stupid false start penalties and personal fouls. I know Suh gets crap for being a dirty player, but I always felt Cherilus was the one playing to the "echo" of the whistle. An undercover cheap shot artist.
