I want to be pissed at the coaching staff, but I struggle finding the tangible things in this game. Called an amazing play to Corum that could have put us up 14-0. Moved the ball at will all game. Was that 3 and 3’s first read to go deep to Sainristil? Did they make Walker get away with dropping it short of the goal line? Thorne fumbling but not having that stand? Holding Johnson on 4th down?
Cade was receiving medical attention on that JJ fumble.
I want to blame them. I really do. MSU had like 5 do or die plays and converted all of them. The universe just wasn’t aligned for us I guess.
But yeah. This day was not good for someone like myself with MDD

Mike MacDonald couldn't figure out how to not substitute his guys when MSU didn't sub. That's ridiculous to me.
Michigan not being able score touchdowns in the redzone is at least partially the coaches fault.
So idk man.

I’ll give you the substitution issues; absolutely. You just don’t see those issues watching any other team on Saturdays. It’s on MacDonald for not being prepared and feeling the need to sub so much. And it’s on Jim for not calling timeout; especially in the first half.
The red zone issues I don’t know. It seems we have 2 plays down there. Low percentage fades and running into stacked boxes. One TD instead of a FG and we win

Michigan State did plenty to lose too. Don't wanna hear how Tucker apparently coached a flawless game (they let CADE throw for almost 400 yards!!) He was down 2 scores at halftime. His OL couldn't block at all. Harbaugh did plenty to win too. You can argue both ways who coached better. But only 1 team had points taken off the board for unknown reasons

The problem with JH’s tenure is the incredible frequency of teams’ converting the do-or-die plays.
UM is #1 in “almost” plays over the last few years - at this point (and actually long ago) it points to JH’s inability to recruit playmakers or inspire guys to make those plays.
I truly want him to get it fixed and I was hopeful this team had the resolve to make those plays, but no such luck.

Yes, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. If we can't inspire our own guys to be the ones making the do-or-die plays at least at a rate comparable to our opponents then the program will continue to flounder when it matters most.

Both coaching staffs coached their asses off. Harbaugh opened up the offense like we all asked for. The difference was literally 4 points stolen from us. I can't be mad when you do so much right and lose because a ref show. Harbaugh has been out coached in some games. This was not that.

Yes they did. They didn't call holds at the inopportune times. That helps a team. Even after all that, we still had two shots at winning it. This team played well and hard. They grew. I am positive for the future if they hold their head high and continue to improve.

This game is a nothing burger to me. I don't care about games where we lose due to referee bullshit. I've seen it too much, nothing will ever be done to fix it, and we'll never be on the good end of it. So there's no reason to get upset about it at this point. It's meaningless and it means nothing to me.
If we lose because we're outcoached, fine. We lose because the other team outplays us? Fine. We lose for the umpteenth fucking time because the other team is luckier and the refs fuck us over AGAIN? Nope, I don't have a fuck in the world for that horseshit anymore. I'll just wait for like 5 fucking games where we beat Sparty or Ohio State on some ref bullshit and THEN I'll start to give a shit about games like this. Until then, it's like caring about losing a coin toss 50 times in a row, it's all luck and none of it matters.
