harbaugh's players love him, they are jubilant together with him and each other.

when saban wins, it's like a successful business deal with satan.  nobody love the guy.

Well, you read the torrent of angst, whining and complaining-just on this board. Unhappy players do not, year after year, perform at their level. I don't know...maybe if we won 6 out of the last 12 NCs folks would still be unhappy.

I love what Jim Harbaugh brings to this game. It would be very interesting to know what the full under-story is to the success of this season. A most fascinating year for Michigan Football!!!

Shout out to coach Gattis for drawing up that RB pass. Going up 14 early put pressure on Iowa's offense right off the bat. And sticking with it when Iowa had them pinned in their own end; no panic, no dumb plays, just played their game.

I love how Michigan got into a back and forth brawl like that and ground down the grinders!

In his post-game interview Jim said they installed that seven weeks ago - before Edwards got injured.  They knew they were going to run it immediately from that hash and he said they knew it would work as soon as both teams lined up.  Wild play. Also mentioned Edwards consistently nails it in practice - had "never missed on it."

It is not like Edwards has to read the defense.  See wide open guy.  Throw is as far as you can and let him run under it.  I am not diminishing the play or Edwards ability but please don't assume the we can run stuff like that with Edwards near the goal line.  Maybe he can but that play is rather simple.

HARBAUGH

Gattis. Macdonald. Jay, too.

This is a staff that downloads what the other team does and finds ways to beat it. Consistently.

Cannot overstate what an incredible job the staff did. Starting from the top.

This is an elite team. With an elite coach.

Wow.

I think they should have called the touchdown play more. Also, why isn't Donovan Edwards starting at quarterback?

This didn't feel like a 42-3 game to me, but I will damn well take it. Part of this is Macdonald's bend-but-not-break defense; Iowa had three drives but was held to two field goal attempts and stopped on fourth down on the other.

The other part of it is that Michigan finished all three of its final drives with touchdowns (thanks in large part to Cornelius Johnson's blocked punt, Erick All's receptions on a long drive and Caden Kolesar's interception).

While I wasn't quite as down on Harbaugh as many here, there was also a time when I was hoping he'd leave for the NFL. Damn I was wrong!

tl;dr Great job and may it continue!

Nice adjustment by Macdonald to take away those annoying PA bootlegs. After halftime the QB had a linebacker in his face every time they tried that. His more bendy defensive plan has worked really, really well this year.

This group of coaches seems pretty special
