Illinois is as someone put it Kroger brand Michigan. Their O-Line is decent but not a flawless execution machine like ours so our defensive tackles will cause problems when one of their guys doesn’t execute. They don’t have a downfield threat. Their back is good but playing hurt and his best asset is his ability to cut and go, which ok but that ankle…. Buckle up, we are gonna thrash em

A lot of players mysteriously heal when they come to Ann Arbor. We apparently have that sort of power here.

Mind you, it's a mixed bag - sometimes, it makes games more difficult, and no one knows which drain of the Huron River is the magical drain, but it is nice to know the place has that effect on people.

I wish we had invincibility mode so we could have each team play at their best 100% of the time. I’m not a fan of the injury variable, it would be nice to beat each team at their best. Also, there’s probably a human actually feeling pain involved, which, you know, also sucks.

I think we will be fine overall.  The weather is the true test.  Below freezing temps does something to a man.  It either dials you in acutely as you navigate your way through it, or it makes you look ahead to when it will end.  The second one makes you slip up, make mistakes, and lose focus.

Wow, when  he was helped off the field, it looked like a season ending injury. If it is a sprain, they probably have that ankle wrapped tight. I doubt he's a 100 percent.

Even if he's 100%, I look at him as a good back who carries the ball a crazy number of times.  In his last five games he's averaged 4.7, 4.4, 4.7, 4.1 and 4.3 ypc.

Postgame edit: Actually, he's pretty good.
