don't go by what rivals tells you. you can't even trust if their listed height is correct. and also don't trust all the recruits who listed their 40 time as 4.4, let alone 4.3. that's just a joke. a lot of guys in college and in nfl don't even run that fast.

40 times for high school prospects are often wildly inaccurate, and frankly, someone's 40 time is a pretty narrow indicator of speed on the field. Does anyone really believe that Juice Williams runs a 4.75 40, while Chad apparently ran a 4.60 40 based on their HS 40 time? Or that Mike Hart ever ran a 4.4 40?

Also, one - who cares, and two - they don't list times for 2 DB's, an ATH, and a RB. The ATH and RB are Jeremy Gallon and Vincent Smith, probably the faster guys in the class. These are his guys. I am 100% excited about this class so far, and think we're going to add to it nicely in the coming weeks. And as for Rivals, I'm not sure why everyone thinks they're the end all for evaluations. They do an awesome job, but don't you think we should trust the coaches a little more? These programs invest a ton of money for people to evaluate every kid they want, and I'm sure they've done their due dilligence with this. Remember that Pat White was a 3 star ATH coming out of high school, and last year he was a potential heisman candidate under RR. Just be patient.

I was about to say - didn't Teric Jones run an absolutely retarded 40 time? And to say they're not "highly regarded" - one of the dudes you're slagging is Jeremy Gallon who is one of the top 100 players in the nation.

In reality, Grady very well may have run a 4.4 before he really bulked up. I was on M's track team, and I ran a legit 4.5 in high school. KG was in my league for track in high school and he beat me twice my senior year in the 100, my best event. And he was a freshman.

A commenter on a WVU blog that linked us said: "These guys are far out there. They're riding unicorns with assless chaps drinking Zima's with jolly-ranchers in them." Thus, the origin of Unicorns and Zima. We haven't written about the assless chaps, but we do where them.

. There's a big difference between running a sprint in a straight line and having game speed. Guys like Touissant, Gallon, Smith, Jones aren't exactly getting caught from behind in their videos. I'd say we're just fine. And don't forget we didn't get a taste of T-Rob yet who supposedly has good speed and is good in open space.

Dammit, why is Rodriguez only recruiting slow people? Doesn't he know that fast people are faster? Who taught this asshole how to coach?

the greatest post ever invented. jmak, you are one ruthless son of a bitch. To look at a recruiting class overflowing with speed and athleticism, and then concluding these guys are all slow, is absolutely fucking ballsy. You've got the skills, pal. The real skills. Fuck Teric Jones, Vincent Smith, Fitz Toussaint, Jeremy Gallon and all those other scheming bastards.

Of anyone who is not running a sub 4.3 - 40. This applies for all players. Hell we should even look at getting rid of all coaching staff, cheerleaders, and band members who aren't breaking that mark as well.
