Hunter Dickinson appreciation thread

Hunter had a GAME against the hometown team that did not give him much attention as a recruit. Whoops Maryland! 26 points on 11/12 shooting, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, several altered shots, and a few hockey assists. Glad we got this guy!

Does anyone know off the top of their head who he is contending with for B1G freshman of the year? Because he's the clear frontrunner right now.

26 points and 11 boards in his second-ever B1G road game is just beyond words.

As a guy who has watched his fair share of Rutgers Basketball (don't ask), Omoruyi definitely shouldn't be on that list. He's not awful, but it's clear that he's a level away from the rest of this list.

Torvik's PRPG! has Dickinson the clear number 1 guy, Curbelo has played nicely as well and Brandon Newman looks like the type of contributor that Purdue seems to crank out year after year.

Surprised how low Miller and Lander were given how highly touted they were. Michigan was in the conversation with both of their recruitments at one point or another.

He makes it look so easy.  Wagner and Smith set him up terrifically all game and he made plays. This team has some holes but the talent discrepancy he brings to the floor makes up for them.

What do the numbers say? They put up an impressive amount of points, but I wonder how much of that is due to tempo since the Beilein squads were always pretty slow

The inside presence is clearly the best we've had in a long time, but the outside shooting needs to catch up if they wanna reach their ceiling. Under 33% again tonight on mostly great looks

January 6th is going to be very interesting game against Minnesota. They have this Robbins kid who appears to be the best bet to give Hunter some trouble. Very good shot blocker and a good post game at 7’. He’s a bit of a beanpole but he impressed the hell out of me in their wins over Iowa and MSU. He can hit 3’s too.
