How do our O Stars do next year?

Submitted by Happyshooter on

So next year we likely will have a new offensive scheme. Either pro-style or I formation.

I think DRob and Odoms will fit right in, but what about the rest of the offensive players? Smith?

Smooth transition or a year of catch ups and learning?

Our current offense is NOT elite.  14 points?  7 against ohio state?  That's mediocre to bad.  Our defense is terrible.  Our special teams are worse.  Time to fire dick rod.  NOW

IF we get Harbaugh, I expect Denard to be the QB, Hopkins the Deep I back and Shaw to be our RB, the rest of the Offense stays the EXACT same. We have a Good O-Line... a lot of new starters though...

This officiating has been PISS poor. They have made a few KEY calls that affect the game, however... the little calls have been ALL PRO-Miss St.

a prostyle offense wouldn't maximize DROB's potential. Not saying he doesn't have the ability to do well in a prostyle ofense, but he could do alot more damage in a Spread.  After this game I am more open to coaching change, but I don't want a coach that wouldn't utilize DROB's ability as well as it could be used.

I would worry more about the D.  As this year has proven without a show of a doubt.  Without even a mediocre defense you cannot win.  Scoring a bunch of points or getting a ton of yards is f'ing meaningless without a defense.  The 3-3-5 and this defensive staff is hopeless.

I dont care what hes running, but im excited to see what Devin can do in 3 years when Denard graduates. just keep whatever coach we have next year till 2015 minimum

Better than this year. This was not, despite the hype, an explosive offense. First drive or two, sure. Then the good defenses would adjust. Then nothing until we were down 24. Harbaugh will make it more than a one-man band.

Perhaps I have missed this but is Gardner's medical redshirt a done deal? Last I knew it had to be applied for. Or is it a formality due to his reported injury and lack of playing time?

Given that our likely coach (Harbaugh) ran a spread at USD with Josh Johnson, I believe we can see him adapt to incorporate Denard's talents in the offense.
