Free speech. Is that too much to ask?

Class is too much to ask if your asking for it from every Michigan fan that attends the game. You have to have thicker skin. There will always be a-holes.
At least they are doing it in person rather than on an anonymous blog like most fans.

I think Bo would take your free speech and shove it up your ass until this game is over.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:15 PM ^
I know exactly what you're talking about.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:22 PM ^
How Daniel Webster of you. Dude's not calling for the government to restrict his right to create signs. He's just saying it's tacky. Agree or not, but the first fucking amendment isn't in play here.
January 3rd, 2011 at 3:56 PM ^
That's a pet peeve of mine, people invoking their constitutional rights when all I want to do is kick their asses as the cranky, private, non-governmental entity that I am.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:01 PM ^
Sorry if everyone doesn't support Rich Rod.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:16 PM ^
Go be a sparty
How can a true Michigan fan have that sign?
January 1st, 2011 at 4:09 PM ^
Agreed.
Some people support Rich Rod, others don't. I personally feel if the opportunity is there we should hire JH and fire Rich Rod, but seriously there is no reason for that sign. To go into a game with that pre-meditated sign is classless. Whether you support RR or not we all are fans of MICHIGAN. Support your team sir
January 1st, 2011 at 3:05 PM ^
but bringing a "Fire RR" sign to the bowl game" is another level.
To be clear, you don't have a problem with that?
January 1st, 2011 at 4:13 PM ^
I'm okay with it. Can't wait until this era is over.

Bo would be beyond appalled at this team's lack of fundamentals. Heck, he'd probably offer to come out of retirement and take over.
January 3rd, 2011 at 3:53 PM ^
January 1st, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
you are just about as big of a D-Bag as the guy with the sign. Congrats on that.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:01 PM ^
Really?
January 1st, 2011 at 3:04 PM ^
Going to a bowl game just to hold up your "Fire Rich Rodriguez" sign is a pretty douchey thing to do.
It's not like you actually have an effect on the decision, so why be a tool?
Just root for the maize and blue.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:07 PM ^
OP needs to seek counseling for his uncontrollable rage.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:09 PM ^
Somehow I don't think threatening violence to a tool-ish fan is as tool-ish as holding up a "Fire Rich Rodriguez" sign on national TV.
If you actually think the OP would attack the guy in real life, I think you're putting to much stock into internet threats of violence. Everyone's a tough guy on here.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:17 PM ^
in this day and age we have to take such remarks seriously. Yes, waving a "Fire Rich Rod" sign is the act of an classless jerk, but threatening violence is the act of a person not in control if their emotions.

If you cannot see that the latter is worse than the former then I don't know what else to say.

this game induces the rage!!!

Tomorrow is another day for protests, pitchforks and torches.
Support the players today.
January 1st, 2011 at 4:06 PM ^
the coaches are another story. This team is bad and they are ultimately responsible. The last GOOD game UM played featured Lloyd Carr on the sidelines. Sorry if the truth hurts.
Neg away blind followers. I'm done with these coaches, starting with GROG and moving up as the AD sees fit. The special teams alone are enough to get RR fired, IMO.
One more thing too...a guy who travels to Florida is supporting the team more than you are from your couch.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:02 PM ^
that last good game was UCONN imo, not that they are national champions or anything, but we did rout them pretty well.
What Lloyd Carr games were so good? The 90's were great but as long as I've been watching it's been pretty similar to this with a slight edge to Lloyd.

My dad didn't tell me he was going to the game today.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:05 PM ^
Don't you mean everything in their power? I mean, how could the cops do everything in your power, unless of course you have no power?
January 1st, 2011 at 3:09 PM ^
The team isn't doing that great of job in providing a good reason to keep RR. The only thing I can say about the team is that they are definitely consistent in how they have played since the 2nd half of the season. The month off hasn't changed anything!
January 1st, 2011 at 3:11 PM ^
If state wasn't getting torn apart by bama this day would start off real bad.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:12 PM ^
at MSU. A brutal beatdown of those pinheads from Lansing is a very beautiful thing to see.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:55 PM ^
Amen to that, brother!
January 1st, 2011 at 3:12 PM ^
Note to all RR Lovers. The rest of us have been paying attention to those that have supported RR blindly at the sacrifice of the Michigan football program. We all know you were RR fans not Michigan fans and we will never forget even after you try and jump on the JH bandwagon. Lesson to be learned from all of this, Support the team, not the coach.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:13 PM ^
You forgot the /strawman tag
January 1st, 2011 at 3:17 PM ^
My apologies for wanting to see the U of M coach actually be successful. But you are right, us RR fans secretly despise the team. Thank you for proving that your U of M degree demonstrates how smart and logical you are.

Please tell me this is a joke, or you're a troll.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:56 PM ^
People trying to make others see that we're moving in the right direction is not being a Michigan fan, right.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:25 PM ^
worse, instead of bringing signs to the game that serve no purpose, those fans could have stayed home. From the poor looking UM turnout, it looks like alot of fans couldn't even muster up enough support, to at least buy tickets and show up.
Maybe fans who stayed home, just like last year against Ohio State at home, are the ones who need to support the team and not the coach.
January 1st, 2011 at 3:16 PM ^
If he's busy holding up his sign?

To beat HER up so much better.

Though I'm not sure how much the team was being supported by posting about other fans during the game. Rather than cheering and stuff. But what do I know.
