Former five star OT from Stanford. Why not a few more Joe Moore award winning O-lines?

I think this addition is signaling that Keegan and Zinter will toss there hats in the draft.  They’ve been awesome I can see zinter in the 2-3 and Keegan in the 3-4  range. Which is a pretty sweet spot for interior lineman not named Steve Hutchinson.  I like Karsen and Trente at tackle So I see a 3 man battle including Hinton at tackle for 2 spots.  Henderson is Taylor made to be a pulling guard in this offense his tape shows him absolutely  decking dudes on pulls across formation.

I think Henderson could end up at guard. I think Barnhart is more likely to be back than Zinter or Keegan. At Tackle, you would have Barnhart, Trente Jones, Hinton and Persi to work with. Henderson could play either spot tackle or guard. Barnhart could even play guard. I think Keegan might be 50/50 on whether he comes back, and they have El-Hadi there. Center is going to be an interesting competition. Someone could move there if Crippen doesn't seize the job.

I don't think Hinton beats out Jones/Barnhart

Don't discount Persi either. It's very conceivable that our best 6 linemen are Persi-Keegan-Crippen-Henderson-Jones-Barnhart

Plus El-Hadi. I'm pretty confident we'll have a solid line again next year. It's a wonderful feeling!

Wow, wasn't expecting this. At this point I assume we're for sure seeing some attrition on the OL, either through the NFL or transfer portal. But if you assume Hinton and Henderson have starting spots locked down, and then Crippen/Atteberry/Anderson at C, then you just need two of Zinter/Keegan/Barnhart/Jones/El-Hadi/Persi to be around next year for another great starting 5. Any more that return and our depth is just wildly good again.

On balance, a big positive, but adding two likely starters through the portal will probably lead to more guys transferring out, even if the transfers in only play one season.

So at least 2 returning starters (Jones and Barmhart) plus 2 transfers who are starter level players.Add Crippin at center and you have another solid O- Line.Adding these 2 suggests 1 or both of Keegan,Zinter leaving.

This sounds pretty nice!  Having played for David Shaw, Harbaugh knows exactly what he's getting for his OL.  But I don't follow Stanford much - was Myles a multi-year starter, and how well was his play?  I've no doubt he's a worthy player, but I have no idea how good he's turned out to be.  Does anyone here know?

not much is kept on O linemen. He only appeared in 7 games this season so not sure if he lost his job or got injured. I'll dig more.

I think Barnhart sees the field in either of those scenarios. Trente Jones was also a starter before he was injured. El-Hadi will be in the mix at guard too. I think Hinton is a wild card and may not win the job at first. My most likely scenario:

Barnhart, Keegan, Crippen, Henderson, Trente Jones

Without Keegan: Barnhart, El-Hadi, Crippen, Henderson, Trente Jones.

Crippen is going to have to earn that Center job as well. The coaches may move one of the guards to center to compete for it.
