"Hello" in the making?

Submitted by team126 on

There is rumbling (out at Scout) that Alabama 5th year senior center/guard Chad Lindsay may transfer to Michigan for his final year of playing college football. He was a 3 star out of The Woodlands, TX but with very solid offer list.

Hope it is true - we need experience and a big body at center and Chad has both. This of course impacts the outlook of 2014 season.

So, what does that mean for the projected guards and center?  Does Glasgow move over to guard and displace Bosch or Kalis?  Does he replace Glasgow and turn him into a backup? Or does this guy become Glasgow's backup?

He won't displace Glasgow, since he's our best lineman.  Glasgow will start somewhere whether it be center, guard or tackle.  More likely replace Bosch or Kalis, possible Glasgow goes to tackle and Braden becomes the first reserve.

I love it!  As posted earlier this would be ideal for everyone involved.  Its not typical Michigan but this has a giant upside potential with very little downside.  A 5th year "body" and probably the highest level of experience practicing in the Nuss system could be a little silent thing that blows up into something quite awesome.  If he just added depth and helped mentor underclassmen that would be very cool.  Hope the silent wheels of justice make it happen 8-)

and obviously used to playing at a high-caliber level.   wouldn't need to learn the plays or the line calls.   makes a ton of sense, especially if he wants an excellent grad degree.

who says he "just heard" that Lindsay is transferring to Michigan. He offers no evidence whatsoever that he actually knows anything. On top of that, Lindsay would have to be accepted into grad school at Michigan, and you don't just walk onto campus here and get accepted because you want to.

From a football standpoint it sounds like he'd be a nice addition to the OL, but I'd take all this with a little bit of salt right now.
