I fell off the top of a tennis court fence drunk while tailgating a few years ago.  Do you have any idea how tall those things are?  Since then, I've been pretty apprehensive to tailgate outside Michigan Stadium... your idea sounds awesome, though.  You guys seem pretty dialed in on how to use your local celeb status to your advantage for crowdsourcing.  An honest question, were you taught this stuff in school?

Somewhat confused on the prize levels. As you go up in levels do you get everything below? I'm interested in the two shirts but it would be silly not to get a download or DVD (preferable) of the video that is the true intention of the kick starter. I don't so much care about the water bottles but I'd take those too obviously.

Also I'm friends with a family who has een tailgating for 35+ years. As far as I know they're one of the top tailgaters for tradition they get there early and he parking guys explicitly let them in early so they get the same spot every game. Ill be there with my family (we live in Ohio) for the Akron U game (my mom's employe by them) an would love to see you guys. I don't think my friends fam is active on here I met them through The Mzone blog.

Thanks.

The vacation I'm going on next week is eating up most of my Summer earnings. But I do enjoy having autographs. I won't have much saved up after the trip but if I do I would definitely like to get that autograph!

I think it would be cool to have that original painting. Wish I had money :(

That being said I'll probably buy a tank, that is cool!

I'll be a dork and say, "Don't forget about the Men's Glee Club tradition of going around and singing Michigan songs at tailgates!"

Also, this sounds like a great project!

Hey Brandin!

First of all, I am in.

Also, I will be giving you a hand with the history of tailgating at Michigan and how it originated. Right now I am currently ripping an excerpt from the Michigan Football Memories documentary from 2004 that is all about the history of tailgates.

It is a pretty good segment and shows tailgates from the mid 60s and who really drove the concept of making a football Saturday in Ann Arbor an event and not just a game.

I will post it here shortly in this thread when it's done ripping and when I upload it to my YouTube.

Brandin, this sounds like a great project and I'm excited for it.

Just out of curiosity, what credentials do you or those involved have in film-making and what made you want to do this project, other than that it sounds like a dream project for any Michigan fanatic? I don't necessarily mean formal credentials, but professional film-making is tough business, even with contemporary technology. I'm wondering what kind of experience and equipment the people involved have and to what extent you will be relying on outside professional help.

This sounds like a great project, first and foremost, and I am definitely all in and will donate as well. It will be interesting to see this done from the perspective of someone who played for the team, as I am sure it would be pretty unique. I rather like the "Robots Hustle Harder" shirt on the Kickstarter page, I will say.

Good luck in reaching this goal, and thanks for sharing this with us.

Looking forward to my card being charged and an October arrival of my goody-bag

I like to do a shrimp, crab and sausage boil. Not on the grill, but oh so tasty.
