Supposably is a perfectly cromulent word no matter where you are in the states.

Is the other good Midwest non word. Supposably.

were on the phone w/Weber at 1:00AM and the last thing Drayton said, was, Bring_On_Jim is troll scat

a true competitor. A major powerfull university has to have the same kind of coach to succeed . not a nice guy that always says nice things about everyone and scared to death of offending anyone. A honest , tough, success driven coach is what michigan has now, thank god.

Today's successful college football coaches all have a certain ruthless edge to them.
Jim Harbaugh can do ruthless edge with the best of them.

Me too. Except that I thought we'd have to wait all the way until Spetember to see it.
Dopey me. It only took 4 weeks.

But in a classy way. If Harbaugh brings to the M-OSU rivarly what Dantonio did to ours with MSU, I will be very pleased.
February 7th, 2015 at 1:07 PM ^
Nah, if it were Dantonio-esque he'd have mentioned Meyer by name and made fun of his physical appearance.

Worse - he mocked a student-athlete (Mike Hart)'s physical appearance.
February 7th, 2015 at 1:20 PM ^
Whoa - Raback, are you saying Dantonio has introduced "class" to our in-state rivalry?
I don't feel that way at all
February 7th, 2015 at 1:45 PM ^
...."but in a classy way." That said, Dantonio wouldnt bow down to us, would attack us in any way possible, and luckily for him his results on the field backed it up.
I'd like Harbaugh to bring the same intensity to our rivalry with OSU (and MSU) for that matter, and I think he does and will.
We got our Mojo back.
February 7th, 2015 at 1:27 PM ^
Harbaugh is exponentially smarter than Dantonio though.

"If you have to cheat to win you really lose" - Bo
February 7th, 2015 at 1:33 PM ^
What good is a national championship when you make a bad name for yourself, when you show the world you've got a major flaw in your character.
February 7th, 2015 at 1:52 PM ^
What major character flaw are you talking about?
February 7th, 2015 at 2:09 PM ^
Probably committing adultery with college students. Not instilling discipline at Florida that led to the development of a murderer. Lying boldface to recruits. Oversigning then cutting players...shall I go on?
February 7th, 2015 at 2:58 PM ^
February 7th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
How can you say he clearly has mental issues from his birth or childhood? How could you possibly know that? That was just an ignorant comment.

February 7th, 2015 at 4:17 PM ^
any more than most of the guys here but I do know he cultivated a bad culture there; ex players have talked about it, reporters have written articles about it. I think it's a big reason he fled Florida - and I think 'fled' is an accurate way of putting it - because it got out of hand. This is the culture that enabled young men like Hernandez and others to do the things they did. Perhaps Hernandez would have ended up the same way had he been under someone like Bo but at the very least under Bo he would have had an opportunity to right himself; under Urban, I don't think he had a chance.

Exactly
February 7th, 2015 at 3:06 PM ^
We're seriously gonna pin Hernandez on Urban?
February 7th, 2015 at 3:23 PM ^
February 7th, 2015 at 9:55 PM ^
it is most certainly valid to question urban's disciplinary practices and what they may have enabled. He didn't pin the murders on him just the fact that it may be if someone had invervened early enough lives could have been saved. The fact is Hernandez was a hot mess at FL. and urban looked the other way.
It is not like he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

We did make mistakes," Meyer said of his time at Florida, which included winning two BCS national titles. "If I look back now, the biggest mistake I probably gave second chances to some people that maybe shouldn't. But this is someone's son. I know in my soul we're doing it right, doing the best we can. Did we make mistakes? We make mistakes (raises hand)."
