Happy New Year Everybody

Mates,
Of course we're all bummed about the outcome tonight, but it has been a tremendous football year beating ohio for the second consecutive time, and being B10 Champs also for the second consecutive time.   We have a great nucleus of kids, team chemistry, character, and coaching - we'll be fine.

Far more important than football though is the big stuff in life: family, health, jobs, etc.  The football game is in the rear-view mirror, but 2023 is an hour away.  Here's to all you maize and blue faithful having a great 2023.  May your joys be plentiful, may your challenges be met and surmounted, and may your Michigan fandom bring you far more joy than disappointment this coming year.

It's great - to be - a Michigan Wolverine!

Blessings,

XM

Thank you…for perspective, being a UM fan post Carr until 2020 sucked. To be at a point and trajectory that we are disappointed losing a semifinal playoff game is light years ahead of where we were.

This one stings badly, but grateful the program is at the place it currently is in. The last two OSU wins were as satisfying a sporting victory I’ve had in my lifetime.

Honestly. Best thing you can do to start the new year is better yourself. Get sober, in shape, healthy, build a business, or further your career.  More than that spend more time with your family, it’s worth more than money. Get a membership at a golf course, tennis club, or a shooting range. There’s so much to do. You live in the greatest country on earth. Take advantage of that. God bless.

It sucks because it felt like this was the year for a championship for the first time I can remember. Sure the team should be good next year, but making a four team playoff is hard.

Happy New Year XM and friends.  So much to celebrate with this team, and hopefully so many other things to celebrate with your family and friends. It was a fun ride with you, my fellow bloggers. Go blue and I hope you have a wonderful 2023.  I am grateful to have this community, and grateful to have my wife and kids.

A very happy and healthy New Year to you too, amigo. Life and good family are very sweet blessings, may you and yours enjoy same for very many years to come!

And the same to everyone else who has enjoyed and appreciated our 13-1, B1G Champs Wolverines.

Appreciate you trying to be cheery.

My weird circumstances today have sort of contributed to my dour feelings. Had a good but relatively brief family trip to Michigan, and my drive finished during the first half, which I was listening to. As we were loading into the house, things were changing rapidly, and it brought me very uncomfortable shades of the 07 Oregon game, when I was loading a moving truck and every time I came back up to my apartment for another load the game state would be worse.

...But I *have* a house to come home to, and it's warm and my family is healthy and safely down to bed in it. No small thing: one of the family members we visited with returned to their house this week to find their pipes burst and their basement flooded. I have friends getting figuratively ambushed by close associates as soon as they return from family trips.

We have it pretty good, really.

I'll feel fine in the morning.

Same here XM. Michigan athletics is a totally addictive and fun distraction to things that really matter. Just like that stupid DR Pepper commercial I saw several times tonight. Happy New Year to you and your family!
