Yes we did. We didn't win the B1G or beat OSU in 2005, 2006, or 2007 either.

In 2006 and 2007 we had a chance to win the B1G title in the final game of the regular season. We haven't been close since then. I truly miss the Lloyd Carr era... we owned MSU every year and had a shot at winning the Big 10 on a regular basis.

MSU was terrible under JLS and Bobby and just so-so under Saban before his last year there. That had a lot to do with the ownage.

That probably had a lot to do with who was coaching them...two buffoons John L and Bobby Williams. Yeah we had a chance to win it...but we didn't...we lost to Tressel again. A win vs MSU doesn't make up for a loss to OSU. They're our biggest target...not MSU.

That's all you really need to do. Wish him a happy birthday and not make an argument over his highs and lows. He is 70 and deserves respect as Michigan coach I grew up watching
