I find that more suspicious than anything
Our Dline was dominant all year. It was really the only consistent part about the team. Then vs OSU our pass rush was completely nonexistent. Like it was so bad it was as if OSU knew our defenses plan of attack. And last season OSU's oline was average at best
I think Mattison conspired with OSU knowing he was going there once the season over. Don't care call me crazy. The world is always more corrupted and shitty than it seems on the surface
I fully agree with your sentiment. With or without my tinfoil hat on. You don't play the way they did all year and then mail it in during the biggest game of the year. That Mattison, Meyer connection must've been a little bit stronger than that of Mattison/Harbaugh.
Not to mention that this is 'The Game'. Over in those parts, the meaning is drilled into those players not just by the coaches but the thousands of truck drivers and their families.
How dominant Ohio St was in that game, the story that he was drinking beer with Ohio St coaches, and his attitude now, could lead to suspicions the Greg Mattison did tip off Ohio St.

Are you serious? We can't do this every year. First it's the refs (which I kind of agree with) then durkin mailed it in, now mattison mailed it in. So was mattison telling the DL to not get pressure? How would any other coach let that slide and why would the DL listen to something like that? They just beat us guys. It sucks. Move on.
Thanks Theronimal. I get so much hate when I call out the nonsense, referees, bagmen and now coaching conspiracy tropes. Maybe it’s my tone but all they are is excuses for why we lose. I wish I had a link to the video of a draft analyst reviewing Gary. While some of the clips showed how dominant he is capable of being, several showed inexplicable examples of him not making plays and underperforming compared to his ability. That’s a microcosm IMO of why we had a year that didn’t live up to our potential. It wasn’t the refs and it wasn’t the bagmen or coaches colluding with OSU.
I don’t care that Mattison went to OSU for a promotion but think it’s bs he can’t call us Michigan. He built his career at UM and should show some respect.

Mattison is officially the guy that becomes a rabid fan of whichever team did the best the prior year, jumping back and forth between teams and claiming he was "always a fan" of whichever team is his favorite that year. He's the guy that is a Duke cbb fan, Patriots pro football fan, Alabama cfb fan, and claims he has "always been a fan of those teams since he was a kid."
In other words, Mattison is a giant flaming douchebag dickhead who nobody should listen to, and who nobody really loves.
