May be back when Hoke or RR was coach. I did attend the Gopher upset of us in '86. Jim was not having a great day at QB and M was down 10 at the half. But they game back to take the lead but the D was letting Foggy get these QB runs and they kicked a last second FG to win. I was really down after that game. We were number 2 in the country (almost like we are now). But Harbaugh made his famous gaurantee of a win against OSU and he followed through!

After I graduated in '85, I had season tickets 86-89. Then my job moved me and I have never been back to MI, except to visit family. When I retire, I would like to get back on the season ticket list in 5 years.

As a teenager, I remember the Gopher's skunking us 16-0 in 1977. I think we were number 3 in the country. Bo had his problems with the Gophers and Boilermakers.

I had just started High School and remember listening to this game and could not believe we could hardly move the ball. I thought I was going to be the next Rick Leach because I made it up to be the 3rd string QB on the JV team.

You're correct. We were number one. Here is some coaching film of the game. Back then we only got a few Michigan games per year. Most we had to listen to.

I was at the 2014 loss to the Gophers. The one where Shane Morris was sent back out on the field with a concussion.
I remember sitting around dinner after the game with my family talking about how we really hoped Harbaugh in 2015 was possible, but probably wasn't.

11 mini-Harbaughs 53, Gophers 8.
JJ grabs the Jug after the game. He says, "Hey CJ, go long!" CJ chuckles and then sprints out to the middle of the field, with a double move that first goes right, then left, with his arms out in anticipation of the pass.
JJ drops back and cocks his arm back.
"Noooooooo!!!!!!!!" everyone shouts in horror as JJ then brings his arm forward with all his might and lets go.
The Jug twists and turns in the air, rolling over itself in an uneven manner, seemingly in slow motion.
As the Jug begins its decent back to the turf, all the onlookers realize the pass will not reach CJ. It hits the ground and shatters into pieces, as shards of clay now lay strewn about the Minnesota field.
Harbaugh walks up behind his now sheepish and sullen quarterback, and pats him gently on the back. "Don't worry," he says. "T'was a silly thing anyway."
