Greg Schiano is ticked off he has to answer questions about sharing Michigan's signs

About what you would expect from these hypocritical cowards. Greg Schiano refused to answer questions about sharing Michigan's signs with Purdue in his weekly presser. Didn't not deny it. But hilariously, he was outraged he even had to answer questions about it. Essentially played the card he was too busy preparing for Iowa this week to think about it:

“Look, I’m getting ready to go play the 22nd ranked team in the country at their place,” Schiano said, via NJ Advance Media. “They are 12-3 in their last 15 games, they’re 15-1 in the month of November (in the past four seasons). I’m very confident in the way we handle our business. I’m not going to get into specifics about something that is not my issue. This is not my issue. Let the people handle it whose issue it is.”

Then, Schiano dropped the hammer on the whole subject.

“I’m sticking to one thing: Iowa,” Schiano said. “I gave you my feelings on the whole subject. Quite frankly, I’m a little bit ticked off that we have to talk about this. This isn’t our problem.”

But I'm sure he was on that conference call with the commissioner crying like a baby for maximum sentence.

"They made this bed, time to lay in it."

"I hope that a law suite will give us..."

Come on, guys. We have hired the best law firm we could find. We need to step up and be overly pedantic, blatantly blazoning the Michigan difference. It is time for them to lie in their bed. It is a law suit, not a suite.

Let's step up around here....

Edit: law suit should be one word: lawsuit.  Let's mea culpa when necessary. Arrogance should know no bounds. Just trying to lead by example here.

Schiano can go pound sand.  Either admit this (the allegations against UM & now Rutgers, Ohio State, & Purdue) is all nothing anyone should be making a big deal out of, or he should self impose an indefinite suspension until an investigation is completed.  One or the other Greg.

I'm actually NOT sure he was - Sam Webb had made it seem earlier that Schiano was sympathetic to Michigan. Purdue almost assuredly was crying (and Illinois is likely to catch some flack for that too if this goes on) and OSU as well. But I was a bit surprised to see Rutgers get thrown.

But, if Harbaugh is accountable, then so is he.

I still can't believe coaches were dumb enough to want a coach suspended indefinitely for anything a staffer does, whether they knew about it or not.

Like, did you not think about how stupid a precedent that would set?  Cause you're not gonna like when the firehose of bullshit turns on you lol

I think Schiano gets dragged into a lot of this because when the Stalions story first broke people were referencing Schiano half time interview when Rutgers played Michigan. As the Stalions story gained momentum Schiano came out and explained that his comments were regarding officiating not Michigan knowing his plays. I think Big Ten people are beginning to realize that this is a topic better left alone.

Schiano is such a jerk. Does anyone remember him as coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs? I only remember one game. The Bucs were beaten, and the other team was taking a knee at the end of the game. Actually, I believe they did it twice. Schiano had his team go full tilt at the snap, crashing into and knocking over the O-linemen for the other team. Talk about player safety...

I'll take it as a positive sign that he just doesn't want to talk about this.

I don't know if he was one of the chief complainers on the conference call or not, but silence is an improvement over what we've gotten from most rival coaches.

To his credit he wasn't talking too much about UM even when the sign stuff came out - he issued that one statement about how he wasn't calling them out for cheating at halftime of their game - but this is part of the deal with getting paid million of dollars to coach in college.  Your guys shared info with someone and your AD is likely one of the 13 trying to get UM banned for the season so you gotta answer for it.  Maybe go tell your AD to come out and say this is stupid what's happening to UM and maybe that'll help turn the spotlight off you.

How can this be credit to Schiano?

He knows they committed something similar or potentially worse.  Why would he say anything to bring attention to the matter?

Same with Day.  He hasn't said a peep and wanted zero part of discussing SignGate for the same reason as Schiano.

Cowards.
