Not my video, but this does appear to be Urbz saying, "Go Blue."

I wonder if he’s pissed about how OSU pushed him out. He seemed to relish in Day losing with that super talented team, kind of like “I told you so.” At the end of the day, Urban is extremely competitive,

I also think that a good chunk of the OSU fans are closet U of M fans.

He actually was pissed off about it.  I have a family friend that is descended from "Ohio Coaching Royalty"... he grew up around the Harbaughs, OSU Staffs, coaching families, etc.

He ran into Urban at an airport while he was still at OSU, during his final year.  He specifically said he was pissed off about how OSU was handling the situation.  He made no secret of it.  As for how he feels at present day, who knows, he's still getting paid by them isnt he?

Urban was pretty open that he wasn't happy with the way Ohio State handled it, he was suspended said he disagreed with it in the press then pretty much stopped talking publicly about it and focused on coaching his team.  Which turned out to be focused on kicking our asses.

Don't play dumb here.  Do we really need to rehash everything McMurphy turned up?

The only real unknown is why he turned a blind eye.

The only real unknown is why he turned a blind eye.

The same reason he turned a blind eye to Aaron Hernandez literally murdering people. Some people say that Meyer lacks morals but I don't think that's necessarily true. I just think he has the type of moral code where if your friend murders a hooker you are obligated to help them hide the body.

Basically, he has no idea what a horrible piece of shit he actually is.

We know his wife had text pics of the abuse but that Urban “never saw them,” which is exactly how a person whose own job is in the health field—they’re despicable as a family.

We know he sought to erase his texts.

Am I being redirected to Eleven Warriors every time I try to get to MGoBlog? Are we the 12th Warrior? I don't want to be one of the Warriors.

CAN YOU DIG IT?

Urbz once said his two favorite teams growing up were ND and Michigan and said back while the Utes coach that he would love to coach for Michigan, ND or OSU. I think at one time he did like Michigan. But after being brain-washed by the buckeyes not sure about that any longer.

Urban wants to be the greatest of all time. I don’t claim to be able to read his mind, but I’m guessing if he thought bringing Michigan a NC or two and beating OSU would put him in that category, then I think he would go for it in a heartbeat. Of course he has plenty of other options too.

And let’s be real, all of these “principled” fans would fawn over him after he won his first game. He’s had some controversies, but he is not a bad guy in my opinion.

If you were a kid into sports growing up in Ohio in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, you dreamed of playing or coaching for Michigan, Ohio State, or Notre Dame and leading your team to glory. At some point Urban Meyer (and Jon Gruden too) allegedly had that famous Lou Holtz escape clause in their contracts that if one of those three schools came calling, they could go without penalty.

I often get the sense that unlike the Bucknut fans, Meyer, Herbstreit, and Spielman  and maybe a few other Buckeyes actually admire Michigan and want Michigan to be good to great all but one day of the year.

True. I grew up in Ohio in the 60's and 70's. In the days before message boards and 24/7 sports coverage (including the seamy underbelly), OSU, UM, and ND were draped in mystique and glory. Newspaper pictures were practically sepia-toned. There's something very appealing about the idea of 3 historical programs within relative proximity, slugging it out old-school.

And yeah, I want Michigan to be good--every day of the year but one.
