Hard to believe the (regular) season is already half over. The bye week sucks, but Coach and his minions are out threre crootin'. Let's get this work week crap done.

one week is different from the next. Then you hear "you just don't understand".

Luckily with the remnants of Typhoon Songda hitting Seattle, we will be spending wife weekend watching College Football all day. Going to have to make up the apple orchard / pumpkin patch on a later sunday though.

Friday is more exciting when it's gameday eve. We're missing that magic this week.

oldest's team won handily last night. the 3 middle sons play tomorrow - should be sunny and actually pretty warm.
as to the OP's comment about swimming, since the satellite shows it's about 56 degrees in lake michigan, i might try one last swim this afternoon. i went earlier in the week and it was close to polar bear time. nobody out there swimming but me though, very quiet, very pleasant.
actual picture of me swimming on tuesday....but with the melanin taken out.
have a great weekend everybody.

My son is starting QB on his high school team, but I'm not even looking forward to the game tonight because the coach is the Hoke of high school coaches. They have no chance to win because he'll run it up the middle against 10 men in the box three times in a row, then punt on 4th-and-9. He's only a sophomore, so hopefully it will get better after we run this guy.

As a husband and father I hate it even more.
My task list awaits.

I feel ya. My list just got longer. Storm last night and the neighbors tree is in my yard.

father, this bye week is okay. I have an unbroken Saturday to get things done. I kind of need it. Let the chores begin. Cheers

Remember in Harbaugh's world it is "improvement week", not a bye week!!

I have been improving all week.

Who doesn't love a nice bang?
There's also the British food dish "Bangers and Mash"...I wonder why they refer to a sausage as a "Banger"? Those wacky Brits.
Sort of reminds you of a football, eh?

I believe those type of sausages pop or "bang" when cooking.
They also have a dish called faggots and gravy. I had a good laugh when I saw that on the menu at a country pub, and every time I've thought of it since.

There was a German restaurant in Sarasota that had a Long Wiener on its menu. I always chuckled when I read it as I have yet to mature.

Followed by the classic British pudding made with dried fruit and custard: "Spotted Dick."
First time I heard that I thought, "Wow ... those people will eat anything!"

In my previous life, I've had the pleasure of watching both Berreta and Benelli demo shooters ply thier trade. It's an awesome show of ability with a shotgun. If you haven't seen one, I highly recommend it! Your gif looks cool, seeing it in real life is doubly cool.
I miss that life...

Insane...
I've been dove hunting with some special ops peeps a few times. They see things differently through the sights of a gun. I'm not a bad shot, but can still go into box #2 limiting out on dove. Those guys? They shoot judiciously, and never miss. On several occasions, I've seen two dove fall out on one shot. Of course, shooting is their business, but its not natural how good they are!

Ever seen 22Plinkster on YouTube? He does zillions of trick shots with .22 LR. Here is one of many, many impressive trick shots he does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRCkVpIE9_0
