Final Elite 11
11. Christian Hackenberg (Penn State),
10. Luke Del Rio (Oklahoma State)
9. Max Browne (USC)
8. Zack Greenlee (uncommitted)
7. Asiantii Woulard (South Florida)
6. Jared Goff (Cal)

3. Johhny Stanton (Nebraska)
2. Joshua Dobbs (ASU)
1. Kevin Olsen (Miami)
MVP = Asiantii Woulard
There is no ranking. Just 11 QB and one MVP announced at the very end...
Hey but every kid is a winner...
If my math is correct, this is only possible halfway through his junior year. Trust me, I'm a biology major.
same treatment Gunner Kiel got last year and if I'm not mistaken Barkley didn't make the "elite" 11 either.
It's worse than the treatment Kiel got last year. Morris at least won the "golden gun" award or whatever it is called for accuracy. The kid who won that last year was the BYU commit, who was constantly ranked in the top 11.
Dilfer is a fuckstick.
SHANE IS NOT ELITE 11!!!!
In all seriousness though, how soon until Hoke pulls his scholarship?
Any word that we have a shot at Greenlee? /s
There are no "I"s in team, but there are a shit ton in the MVP's name... Asiantii?
Well we'll all find out who's right in a couple of years. Not much too be said here.
Well said. Let's revisit this in a couple years and then we can remind Dilfer that he's clueless.
I'd love to hear what Shane has to say about this.
Matt Gutierrez & Clayton Richard were both Elite 11, and both never started a game or finished their football career for Michigan. The jury is still out on Devin Gardner. Ryan Mallett...well that is a different story.
Jeff Smoker, Drew Stanton, Keith Nichol, Joe Boisture, & Andrew Maxwell were all Elite 11 for Sparty and haven't affected MIchigan one bit yet.
Justin Zwick, Troy Smith, & Rob Schoenhoft were all Elite 11 for Ohio. Troy Smith hurt a little.
Matt LoVecchio, Zach Fraser, & Dayne Crist were all Elite 11 for Notre Dame, and they all ended up transferring.
Zac Wasserman, Anthony Morelli, Pat Devlin, & Robert Bolden were all Elite 11 for Penn State. 2 transferred, 1 probably will by the end of the summer, and the other is still planted in the turf courtesy of Alan Branch.
Harrison Beck was Elite 11 for Nebraska. Transferred.
Jake Christensen & John Wienke were Elite 11 for Iowa. One lost his job to Ricky Stanzi & the other never played.
Chad Henne was not Elite 11, and I would take him over any of the guys listed above. Hopefully, Shane Morris will turn out the same way.
It is an honor to be an Elite 11 QB, but in the end it actually does not matter. Hoke got his man in Shane Morris.
All anyone needs to know about this event is that Zeke Pike made it as one of the top 11 last year...yeah he couldn't make it past a semester at Auburn.
Huh? So one kid who attended last year's Elite 11 got in trouble and left school? What conclusion are we supposed to draw from that?
Am I the only one who read over the list 4 or 5 times thinking I had to have missed Shane's name somehow?
That's just mind-boggling that he's not on it.
Time to panic.
I am selling my Shane Morris #12 Michigan Jersey on craigslist if anyone is interested......$5
First floor
Wins the golden shirt award and is ranked at the top for most of the five days, but is not picked as one of the Elite 11. Me to Trent Dilfer, Trent you sir are clueless. Congrats to all the players who participated in this years Elite 11. Good luck on your senior season.

I'm sure Shane is not happy with the end result of the elite 11 but this just fuel he'll use to be a better QB. I'd rather he come into Michigan knowing he is very talented and has a lot of work to do than come into camp thinking he is the greatest college QB ever before taking a snap.
I'm not sure how the Elite 11 were picked but I'm sure Trent knows more about football than Tom Lemming, that Linguist guy from ESPN, or any of the Scout geeks that cover high school football.
I have heard this a few times on this thread and I have to say it is BS. If you need proof, just look at Wayne Gretzky. The best hockey player of all time and he couldn't coach to save his life. He was terrible at both coaching and evaluating talent. Just because someone does something very well doesn't mean they know what it takes to do it well.
I played in the CHL for 4 years and played hockey my whole life, but my ability to evaluate talent isn't that great. I often do mock drafts and watch to see how they fare years down the road and I have to admit...I stink at talent evaluation.
My point is simply, just because someone doesn't play the sport doesn't mean they can't be just as good at evaulating talent as someone who does. I look at Bob McKenzie in hockey. No one could convince me that the man has ever stepped on the ice and played hockey competitivly and yet I think he is one of the best talent evaluators in the game.
I don't think just because Trent Dilfer was an NFL QB (and not a very good one either) you should think his opinion on talent is better than anyone elses.
