Granted that would be ten games away, I feel like Jameis Winston/ Tajh Boyd would rip our secondary.
Let's make it there and then worry about it.

The hell with that. B1G Champions and Rose Bowl or bust.

Let's pump the brakes on Winston being an unstoppable throw god. He's played a mediocre Pitt unit and beat up on a defense-deficient Nevada. Yes, UM's secondary has some issues, but FSU has done this for years, roping people into believing the 90's are back until they gack a couple of games against tough competition.
September 15th, 2013 at 8:35 PM ^
You may want to hold off on the coronation. Obviously he's looked incredible through 2 games but it was against Pitt and Nevada.
Then there is the perennial issue where Florida State is overranked, gets off to a hot start, and fizzles later in the season as the level of competition elevates.

Go home NFG, you're drunk.

We lucked into beating the worst team in the MAC (the country?), Penn State lost at home to Central Florida, Nebraska gave up seven thousand consecutive points, Wisconsin can't figure out how to take a knee properly, etc, etc. Can any matchup favor the Big Ten at this point? Even a game against the air?
September 15th, 2013 at 8:23 PM ^
Well, we're 3-0, even if one is a bad win. Just continue to win and nobody will remember that game.

I want A&M vs Northwestern to happen so much. Whatever the over is, I'm betting it.
I do not want to see MSU vs Florida though. They could set the over at 15 and I would bet the under. MSU would refuse to throw, and Florida would forget how again. There would also be a monsoon, because obviously a defensive struggle has to be played in the rain.
September 15th, 2013 at 8:54 PM ^
I would take an over of 150 in that game. In a heartbeat.
September 15th, 2013 at 9:07 PM ^
September 15th, 2013 at 9:18 PM ^
See, I thought of that. But neither team would throw the ball, and instead simply run into the line over and over. I'm guessing a score of 8-6 gets it done.

If you take these projections over to Massey and, based on limited in-season data, put them in their matchup simulator, you would get the corresponding win probabilities for each Big Ten team in their prediction:
Schlabach | Edwards | |
Orange | 39% | 46% |
Rose | 23% | 23% |
Capital One | 29% | 27% |
Outback | 28% | 43% |
Heart Of Dallas | 58% | 79% |
Gator | 21% | 43% |
Buffalo Wild Wings | 43% | 43% |
Texas | 21% | 25% |
Little Caesar's | 76% | 55% |
Naturally, the two highest win probabilities in this projection would go to games featuring Iowa and Minnesota, so as they say, "BIG TEHN!"

I had to do a double take--there's actually a bowl where the two projections offer up, as the opponent for Boise:
(1) Notre Dame
(2) Ohio
As in OHIO. The U.
Returning to glory, indeed.

Any bowl other than the Rose or the championship would make me sad because it most likely means a loss to OSU. However, I think this team is a borderline BCS capable team similar to the 2011 team. I don't know if we'd get quite as much luck during the game and with the opponent. Clemson and FSU both scare me a lot more than VT did two years ago. Either Clemson or FSU could be a fun, high scoring game that may give me a few heart attacks.
