Early games:

Northwestern at Nebraska.  Winner gets to be known as "NU" by third parties.

Iowa State at Baylor.  Can this rainstorm slow down the Bears?

Clemson at Miami.  Is Clemson for real?

Houston at UCF.  Herman is still undefeated as a head coach.

Pittsburgh at Syracuse.  Battle of former defensive coordinators in the state of Michigan (Narduzzi vs. Shafer)

Auburn at Arkansas.  Can Bielema put the tire fire out?

Disagree. Standard def of a catch in the end zone in college was did receiver have control when they hit ground (are down). Guys used to catch passes and hit ground and just let the ball go. I watched replay and thought jones had it until he rolled upright when it fell. Too close to call live but looked like a catch on replay. Worst was hearing becht keep repeating the nfl verbiage over and over

Holy fuck. I just tuned to the Miami/Clemson game to see it's 42-0 at halftime. That program, though. Good lord. How the mighty have fallen. That stadium is so shitty, too. They need their own stadium and it needs to be smaller.

My understanding is that their on-campus facilities are poor--they got by for years on the U mystique to compensate but the blue chip Miami kids are now heading up to FSU. Plus the administration has never been wild about the program, the rep it brought, or the kids in it. Elitist and classist nonsense...no one would know U Miami or care about it outside of Dade County without that program.

Swag, confidence, arrogance, cockiness, Greg Olsen making 7th floor dorm room rap songs... w/e it is the next Miami coach gotta bring that back to the program.

Too bad they gotta compete with 2x USC for job vacancies.

The U's administration is full of absolute morons. Why they thought selling that land to the Marlins of all fucking teams was a good idea... I'll never understand.

Historic stadium to boot. Shalala is an idiot.

Well, U Miami played at the Orange Bowl through their glory years. The campus is in Coral Gables, which was miles away. Joe Robbie (or whatever they call it now) is farther away from Coral Gables, but they've never played on campus. Maybe before Schnellenerger. Even at the Orange Bowl they never attracted particularly big crowds. They have a small alumni base so few U Miami fans have ever been near Coral Gables.

My understanding is Miami is trying to get a deal done with a local MLS team to build a 50,000 seat stadium much closer to campus. People talk about the Miami crowds but the fact is Miami rarely had crowds over 60,000 even at their peak. in 2000-2005 the only games they ever sold out was the Florida state game. A 50,000 seat stadium would be more than enough for this Miami program

it was always my dream to be one of those psychotic Friday Night Tykes HCs, bring the kids out to 3-6 mafia's 'I bet you won't' and be up so large at the half that we don't even hit the locker room.....doesn't get more gangster than that lol
