Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

Climate[edit]

Los Yungas, La Paz.

The climate of Bolivia varies drastically from one eco-region to the other, from the tropics in the eastern llanos to a polar climate in the western Andes. The summers are warm, humid in the east and dry in the west, with rains that often modify temperatures, humidity, winds, atmospheric pressure and evaporation, yielding very different climates in different areas. When the climatological phenomenon known asEl Niño[42][43] takes place, it causes great alterations in the weather. Winters are very cold in the west, and it snows in the mountain ranges, while in the western regions, windy days are more common. The autumn is dry in the non-tropical regions.

  • Llanos. A humid tropical climate with an average temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). The wind coming from the Amazon rainforest causes significant rainfall. In May, there is low precipitation because of dry winds, and most days have clear skies. Even so, winds from the south, called surazos, can bring cooler temperatures lasting several days.
  • AltiplanoDesert-Polar climates, with strong and cold winds. The average temperature ranges from 15 to 20 °C. At night, temperatures descend drastically to slightly above 0 °C, while during the day, the weather is dry and solar radiation is high. Ground frosts occur every month, and snow is frequent.
  • Valleys and YungasTemperate climate. The humid northeastern winds are pushed to the mountains, making this region very humid and rainy. Temperatures are cooler at higher elevations. Snow occurs at altitudes of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft).
  • ChacoSubtropical semi-arid climate. Rainy and humid in January and the rest of the year, with warm days and cool nights.

Absolutely not. I had that tweet pinned on my profile until I got to meet Harbaugh and pinned that tweet.

One of my near-800 followers probably just made an account on here and used it.

I have one account here that's 3 days away from being 6 years old.

Plus, I have always despised the term "Michigan Man" because of what it has turned into.

I was going to read all the comments before posting about my avatar but I have to step in and say no way was AC 170 pounds. He was generously listed at 161, but he was fucking fearless! I dare you to find another player of any size that took the kind of crushing blows he sometimes did while popping up off the ground faster than the guy who hit him! Like Mickey Rivers, AC would walk like a crippled old man but then blind you with a breathtaking explosian of speed & quickness, & in AC's case brilliant, devastating & beautiful moves! (aside from incredible catches & good blocking)

Also, Roy Roundtree was a stick! Ice Cube McNeil was 146 pounds and played in a Pro Bowl!

Maybe Drake's hamstrings will always betray him, but that's not about his weight. I'm not going to judge his toughness or ability to play until I see him, and I don't think his weight will stop him if he has the kind of speed & ability he was supposed to have.

I posted a while back about asking one of the O-linemen how Drake was doing on his rehab, I meant Johnson not Harris, not thinking Harris was near ready yet, but he enthusiastically said "He's doing great, his hamstrings are good now" Oh, I said, I meant Johnson, but that's great to hear!

He said DJ was also doing well, that he was running and was about two weeks from being able or allowed to cut & that he expected him to be full strength by the fall. If that held true then he should've been cutting for a week or two already. The worry is will he stay healthy he said.

What a huge fucking difference in our offense if the Drakes are both healthy!

I would rather not win national championships / Big Ten championships than hurt these kids' lives.  At the end of the day, football is just a fucking game.  It doesn't really matter in the sense it doesn't really affect anyone's individual (realistic) standard of living.  Kicking kids off the team / off scholarships / forcing them to transfer purely for competiveness' sake is a real and terrible thing to do.

In Pips case I came to the conclusion that is the best the coaching staff can do for him: 1 get your degree from Michigan 2 don't get hurt again because its going to change your life for ever 3 the reward (NFL) is not there

I opened this thread scared shitless that I would be reading a tweet from Drake Harris about how he too would be getting pushed into medical retirement or transfer and felt he was being screwed over by the new coaches.

I felt utter relief and pure joy to read that Drake seems to be doing great physically if a great 40 time is any indication.

Neg rep me all you want.  The facts are Drake is injury prone and most likely isn't going to be an factor going forward.  He's missed a lot of football and most importantly reps and he's a cold day away from being "strained" again.  But I'll trust coach Fisch word not hard ass bloggers.

As much as he comes across as a jerk, there's something to what he says.

people with a history of chronic hamstring injury tend to have futures of chronic hamstring injury.

That said, hope like hell he can go forward with good health. He was identified as a future stud coming in.

I know he got real sick and probably tried to push himself to hard. You are writing him off too qucikly and need to be more patient. Drake Harris was great in high school and you haven't even seen him play yet. He will probably be ready to play by the season opener and we will see how injured he is.

What was Pipkins' 40 time? Sorry, bad joke. Hopefully both can remain healthy and play ball this year. Will Pipkins be eligible this season? (perhaps a year off might be better)

I think this is a bad rap.  There are other senior players that are never going to see the field this year.  JH is NOT chasing them off.  I don't want to name names, but can all guess a couple.  That is why I believe the staff is looking out for Pip and his health.

Multi concussions, and neck issue and a major knee injury to very heavy player can be bad news.  Pip is losing his NFL dream and I think he is just upset.  I hope he stays or leaves on good terms.  I always liked the big guy.

as someone that has several neck issues. some times you don't believe how bad it is when you feel fine. he may feel great and ready to play, but necks are very tricky to deal with.
