It is great to have that kind of homerun threat in the backfield. I will really get tired of the shoelace story as it will be brought up whenever Denard is in the game.

my buddy and i were saying 'how many times are we gonna have to hear about the shoelaces this year?'. my response was, 'shit, if every time they do, it's after a 50 yard touchdown, i'll pay attention!' on a side note: this freshman class is going places. Barwis will stay on them, the offense will open up even more (omg), and we're only adding athletes from here on out.

Even a better job doing four things 1. Recovering a snapped fumble 2. Two being able to make forward progress after a fumble 3. Finding gaps in the defensive line to break lose 4. Running it in for the TD WHAT A PLAY!!!!

Thanks. I was searching YouTube for a video of that a little earlier, and the only thing I found in the search is that one of the results for "Denard Robinson" is this video name "Breaking the Sound Barrier"

this was an absolute jaw dropper. on his first play, no less. hopefully he can balance it out a little better, in the future. it seemed like he was intent on running every play. the announcers even mentioned once where a receiver (hemingway?) was wide open and he opted to scramble instead. maybe it was just not knowing the playbook well enough. either way, i loved the way RR mixed up tate and denard. they can make each other better-- denard's run seemed to completely unbalance WMU's defense for the rest of the half, and tate exploited that.

He is a special talent, no doubt, IIRC Anthony Carter took a punt return for a TD on his first touch. I know, it was Denard's 2nd touch but first as QB. Tate was so impressive and Denard so electric they can help keep the pressure off each other. This is going to be fun to watch develop

Even though he's clearly not as well rounded as Tate, I got very excited everytime I saw him under center. If he eventually learns to actually throw sometimes and defenses have to respect that he will be very very dangerous

People seem to forget this was his first play at QB - RR had brought him in for a run prior to this while Tate was at QB. That being said - I think today set the tone for "this is Tate's team, Denard will come in for 1-3 series per game to provide a change of pace, and please don't let Sheridan see the field". Also, couldn't ask of more from our two frosh QBs today. Simply amazing.
