I got negbanged last year when I said that the WBB basketball game against Illinois wouldn't have been cancelled for weather if it were a men's game.  The game that was cancelled was a likely victory for Michigan that would have given the team their first Big Ten title in team history.  The weather was bad but there had to be a way to get there.

The men's team will get to Jersey Mike's for the game tomorrow night.  I have complete confidence.

Aye, we were supposed to get 7 last night, but it looks closer to 5 on the driveway. Still on track for another 12 tonight though. Gonna have to plow in phases to get the kiddo to school on Friday.

As for our little dog, I just told him to pick a corner in the dining room. 36-hour amnesty.

Death Storm sounds like a new Marvel character.

As a 70-year resident of SE Michigan, my experience is that the greater the media frenzy about an approaching storm, the lesser the likelihood that reality will match the hype.

You aren't, by chance, referring to Winter Storm Olive?!?!?! (Thank you, Weather Channel, for doing your part to help with sales of Xanax and high blood pressure drugs.)

Apparently going to be almost 80 degrees tomorrow down here in the DC area.

Amazing how ~200 miles (and basically 150-160 miles due south) can make that much of a difference in weather.

Meanwhile, in Virginia tomorrow, its going to be 80 degrees. I don't even like 80 degrees in the summer. Then, by Saturday, its going to be 35 with flurries.

Forecast? Everyone sick by Sunday.

Stay safe, y'all! Ice storms are no joke. I remember the ice storm in 2013 (I think it was 2013?). Half of my trip north was spent without power and you could just hear the limbs cracking and crashing down all around under the weight of the ice.

Hope everyone had a chance to test their generators, fill up on gas, and most importantly stock their beer fridge.
