Yep, I can see the Long Island kid winding up closer to home in Syracuse. I hope he crushes it as a starter there. Good luck to you, young man!

I know Villari needed to transfer if he ever wanted to see meaningful snaps, but Syracuse is getting a good one, their gain is our loss.

Looking forward to seeing a Syracuse game or two on TV in the next couple years to watch him in action.

Unless he was committed to Syracuse in a different sport, no. He didn’t even have an offer from Syracuse football. He was committed to Fordham until late November. Michigan swooped in just before early signing day and got the commit.

His best offers after Michigan were Buffalo and UMass.

Good luck to them both.  I do wonder if DGW finds his footing at Nevada; he's not the fastest corner but he played good competition in CA coming out of HS and could still be successful.  Also, I'd have been disappointed if Villari hadn't wound up in Syracuse.

Nevada will be a great spot for Green-Warren, Oregon's old co-DC is the new head coach there and he'll be lining up against the MWC passing attacks.  I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out.

Although as a Nevada Native the hashtag on his announcement should have been #HomemeansNevada for the state song.

I think they've both found their level and wish them success!  They'll bring some awesome stories and leadership potential to their new teams from the top level coaching they had at Michigan.  Even as depth players, they got time with really talented coaches and teammates.

I know for a fact Harbaugh worked with Villari during the 4th qtr at Maryland because I saw it.  He was going through throwing mechanics on the sideline - and then coaches called pass plays so Villari could work on what was just taught!

Garbage time in a serious road blowout and Jim MF'in Harbaugh was personally coaching 4th string bench players.  Does Kirby Smart do that?  Frames Janklin?  Nick Satan?  B1G CoY Mel Tucker?

Good luck boys, I'm looking forward to hearing your names again!

Pretty good for Villari to land with a Power 5 school. Either Harbaugh found something in him that no one else did while he was in high school, or coached him up to the point where he can be viable as an ACC QB. Either way, it is a positive indication for Harbaugh (and the rest of the coaching staff). To do it in a year when he had two other high-caliber QBs to manage is even more impressive.
