Anyone watching this?  Ferris State is up 20-17 and it’s still the first quarter!

Sorry, I must have posted at the same time you did.

Not a lot of defense but this is the game Ferris plays. No discipline, dumb penalties, 3-4 turnovers, and lots and lots of points. Go Bulldogs!

They've taken entirely too many penalties this season. They also had 7 turnovers against Saginaw Valley and somehow still scored 39 in regulation.

They're going to have to play at least a little defense tonight if they want a trophy.

There's some discussion of Tony in this dark thread from about a year ago:

https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/suggestion-hire-ferris-state%27s-tony-annese#comments

It seems simple from a distance. If Tony is good *and* he's judged to be low-risk with off-field stuff, he'd be a candidate for bigger jobs. That's never happened. 2 + 2 = ?

Here's another way to look at it: You could say that Tony has been "blackballed" from D1, but I think that would be ridiculous. Just look in Michigan. In addition to UM and MSU you have three directionals of size. Annese clearly has the goods. Less accomplished guys than him get in D1 pipelines every year. He's been on the map for years. Why is he not getting hired? Must be a reason ... right?

There is no money stuff if that’s what you are implying. My son coached under Tony the last couple of years. They take a lot of reclamation projects. Kids who got in trouble or struggled academically ect. Now they are winning they also sell kids on the fact that you can go win 8 games at a MAC school or you can play for a National championship at Ferris. On top of that, they have guys playing on Sunday and more on this current team that will be playing in the NFL too.

Ferris is a fun team to watch. Back in the red zone again with 4 minutes to go in the 3rd and already leading 44-17.

TD!!!  Now 50-17 pending the xp.
