However, the way you're posting makes it sound like you're related to Smith and have absolutely no credibility. Nobody is going to take you seriously.

You don't have to be wrong to be an asshole.
(I happen to agree with you re: Smith>Green, but I'm not goint to berate anyone for thinking differently because neither you nor I really have much info to judge by).

Wow, this comment made me realize how much we need negs back. Quit acting like such an ass, you're making a fool out of yourself.

...and Mike Hart was a 3 star tiny RB that played for a nowhere HS in a small conference... it can happen...Im not saying it is going to happen...but Smith has a shot. Right now hie looks to be in better shape than Green. Green can happen too...however Im one thta ws not knocked out by his HS tape... however he is a B10 RB too. It wiil be interesting to see what happens between the two of them in competition.

well, no one's going to mistake this for the "all-22" reel. they zoomed in so much I couldn't simultaneously measure the position AND momentum of devin gardner.

I wish Brian would stop being a tyrant and give us our points back so I could tell you how I really feel about how funny your comment was.

The only way to tell is to look ahead to November 16th and see if the Wildcat in the box is alive or dead.

There are no comments that are even mildly humorous. I have never been so certain of anything in my life.

The overreaction in this thread has reached a fever pitch
Well, the OP did tell us to do that -- "COMMENCE OVERREACTION".
So we're just doing what we're told to do.

You expect the defense to dominate these scrimmages and they did.

Bunch of fuckin' chicken littles around here! So much overreaction on a 4 minute video zoomed in so you can't see shit.

And it's not like there were NO HOLES at all.

got burned several times in that video. He clearly needs to join weight watchers with Derrick Green or needs more rehab time. YOU KNOW HOW I CAN TELL - I SAW FIVE PLAYS FROM A CTK VIDEO!!!!

typefaces and not 2 rawls carries was a subtle hint i was chill, relative to the rest of the hubbub here.

I will offer my take, which, as a critically uninformed and over excitable fan, is clearly absolutely essential reading.
Pass Blocking may be pretty good, or Pass Rush may have great potential but be spotty.
Run Blocking may need some work yet while showing flashes. I don't think there's anything wrong with the D-Line's run defense.
Gardner can flat out throw that ball.
Saw good things from all over the recieving corp.
Fitz looked great running and did some nice pass-pro.
Fitz is probably definitely our #1 back. (Really strong statement, isn't it? Probably definitely.)
Cam Gordon could have a very nice year.
Hayes will see increased playing time this year.

Was hoping to see some Shane clips.

JOECHOCINCO!!!
August 18th, 2013 at 10:57 AM ^
There were no catches for Darboh on the clips, but he looks like a very eager blocker. He comes in and cracks down on LBs and DBs on the first 2 run plays.
August 18th, 2013 at 11:08 AM ^
We still can't get push up front when run blocking. Our d-line is solid, but not elite by any means. If we can't move them off the ball we can't expect to do so against top defenses. We will have trouble running against ND, OSU, MSU, etc. This situation has not ironed out yet, it won't be next year either with two new tackles. Our o-line won't be what we expect until 2015 at the earliest. That is frustrating.

The only sack Lewan was credited with giving up last season was against true freshman Adolphus Washington IIRC. I was under the impression that Washington was moving inside to the 3 Tech spot this season, though. Does anyone confirm or deny?

You too? Ugh.
August 18th, 2013 at 1:58 PM ^
I don't mean that to sound as though we suck. We are above average, just not sure we are a B1G title type o-line yet as some think. I do think our run defense will be good against a pro style offense like the one our offense is running...not so sure if they will against the style OSU, NW, and Neb will run. I think this is mainly due to the size of our NTs. I just don't think we will be a good enough down hill running team to take advantage of the play action the way the coaches want agains the better teams we play. I still think they will have to use Devin's legs more than they want against the better defenses we play (ND, MSU, OSU, etc.). I think we won't have trouble running against our other non-conference opponents and Minn, Ind, Neb, and Iowa. Just not sure about ND, OSU, MSU, maybe even PSU, and whoever we get in the bowl. And if we really are gonna win the B1G we need to be able to get it done against OSU, MSU, PSU, etc. Time will tell and hopefully they will develop over the course of the season, but as of yet I don't see the evidence that's all.

Fitz had some good runs. Looked just like his old self on a couple. Getting really excited for the season!
August 18th, 2013 at 11:24 AM ^
But seriously, Derrick Green looks fat. He's got to slim down a bit if he wants to beat out Deveon.

Shane Morris is so good they didn't want our opponents to see any of his plays.
August 18th, 2013 at 11:42 AM ^
That was fun to watch, but I don't think we can take anything out of some heavily edited clips. Obviously plenty was left out. Remember, Borges treats the existence of the pistol like the US treats the existence of drone strikes. Also, I'm thinking that they didn't go an entire scrimmage without Gallon getting a single look.
