Csont'e York rated by rivals
York was given 3 stars and is rated as a 5.7. This seems pretty accurate considering he appears to be a solid recruit with a major weakness appearing to be breakaway speed/run after the catch ability. I'm curious to see whether any of our other 3 stars get a bump before it's all sad and done, but at this point I can see Conley becoming a 5.7 with everyone else staying where they're at.
Some 3-stars will become 4-stars and vice versa. It's the nature of the game.
Nice to see him at least getting some attention, though. If we remember, there have been plenty of 3-stars or less who have gone on to do great things. Braylon was a 3-star and often knocked for his lack of speed, if I remember correctly. We all know what he did.
Good observation. However, I'm pretty sure when he said "plenty of 3-stars" that he was not referring to "every three star".
Let’s hope after this year they have to add 16 to the Legends list. /s
I really hope he wins the Heisman.
Denard has the stat sheet to go down as the most explosive player in CF, let along Michigan.
I very rarely buy Michigan jerseys. Actually the only one I have is from Woodson when I went to school. When we beat OSU last year, I bought the 16 jersey. Regardless of how this goes down, DRob is a legend in my book. I cant wait to scream, "Take it to the house" mulitple times!!!!!!!!!!
That is a very generous rating for York as it is the highest 3*, and on the cusp of 4*. This is quite strong for a "Who Dat" guy so they must have really liked his camp performances, and it bodes well for his potential.
You are entitled to a typo...don't be sad.
I think Michigan needs its own rating or magic number. Our 4s and 5s converge on it from above and undiscovered gems like (hopefully) York approach it from below. Happens ever year, seemingly.
Rivals just rated York as making them go from 6 to midnight, its their new creepy ratings scale
Rivals are a bunch of hacks, Eric Waugh's been using that system for years.
Per the terms of his probation, he actually switched over to the slightly less creepy Head Tilt scale in 2009. Still pretty derivative on Rivals' part, though.
I'm confused. You say Rivals hates York, and then go on to praise how highly rated he is. Anyone else reading this? Am I just crazy?
I think he just took care of the typo. H and N are fairly close on the keyboard, and you do use the same finger for both.

Yep, it seems he does favor them.
I am a bit sad, as it looks like the demise of one of my favorites, "Slotninja-saurus". Another dinosaur headed to extinction. But they just won’t work in the pro-style offense they are transitioning toward.
I must apologize in advance to those pro-Rivals guys out here, as i feel like i have been a paid rivals basher lately, but.......
Per Mike Farrell, Hurst will NEVER be a 4* because......
"Mike Farrell:
Ryan -- no Hurst is too sawed off to be a four star kid, lacks great size. "
Yet, Hurst is listed as 6'2" and 285 on their database.....
Here are listed heights/weights of some notable DT's ranked 4*/5* by Rivals....

6'1", 290

And Hurst is probably more agile/explosive than all but 3 ahead of him. I just am getting more and more irritated by rivals as time goes by.
Don't let Farrell get under your skin. He's not as great at rating kids as he thinks he is.
Can't believe after hammering him, i am gonig to defend him at something, but he did in fact at minimum come back and apologize to the UM fan base 4 years after he said Hemmingway would basically amount to nothing.
My gripe with Rivals is their next to ignorance of a midwest analyst. They went sometime without an analyst, then hired a Michigan guy as one, and then the Michgian guy went almost out of his way to then underrate Michgian recruits so he would not seem like a homeboy michigan kool-aid drinker to all the other midwest fanbases (prob smart fom a job persepective, but stilll not objective). Really hammered on Wormley specifically.
