There are lines of discussion that support this thought...I know many fans think this. However, the actual playing of the games have very little to do with the fans. In my many years of playing and coaching I never had a single competitive thought that included a consideration of what the fans thought-and that is not an exaggeration. I wish this was acknowledged and better understood.

Sorry, but fans are essential. Without them there is no economy of the sport to provide the resources to the players and coaches. If you want to see sports without fans, go check out small high schools, or minor league baseball. The equipment is old and shared, the coaching sucks, and the atmosphere is bad.

You may take it for granted, but there is a reason players pay at least lip service to appreciating the fan support that makes it all possible. When they don't, like the Javy Baez/Mets situation, the leaders come down hard because you can't bite the hand that feeds you.

Man, I was puking watching State play last night. Pains me…but they looked good.  That RB they got was impressive.

Georgia and Clemson is gonna be fun to watch!  Still think Clemson pulls off the “W”.

I saw bits and pieces of the first half but from what I saw and have read this morning they are much improved from last year.  Exactly how much is TBD.  Poor damn NW though. They either are really good or they just plain suck ass.

Personally, I would prefer not pay any attention to those assholes until we play them. I know too many sparty fans and am happier when I don’t know what’s going on with their team.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long.

I sort of checked out of the electronic world for a while. No news, or sports, and I was much happier for it.

Still working from home (never going back to the office), took a couple of vacations, tended the garden, and gained 10 pounds. Life has been good.

Now I'm ready to have the next dozen Saturdays bring me joy and pain.

Lane Kiffin has Covid.    Ole Miss plays tomorrow.   I would think that means others on team will be out as well?

Edit:  Ole Miss plays Monday.

Mack Brown started off talking about how they just got beat but then made an excuse of saying most teams are playing a scrimmage this weekend and they came out and played a tough opponent. Some coaches just can’t accept losing without at least one excuse.
