I am not one to complain BUT, Bama at #2 is a joke. They have an awful loss to TX A&M and looked very average against a bad Auburn team.

Serious?  MSU and Auburn are very similar.  Both solid football programs with occasional exceptional years but, generally, lower regarded in comparison to their in-state rival.

Since 2000 Auburn is 11-11 against Alabama.  MSU versus Michigan in that time frame?  Also 11-11.

Rivalry games don't always end with the predicted result.  I know that I've seen too many close games or losses against MSU where Michigan was higher ranked.  Rivalry games aren't always close, but it really shouldn't be shocking when they are.

Interesting and ridiculous poll rankings, but in the end it doesn't matter much until we beat Iowa next Saturday and the Georgia v Bama is played.

This needs to happen as well as Michigan beating Iowa.  Assuming a scenario where we beat Iowa and Alabama beats Georgia, we play Georgia in the playoff as a 2 vs. 3.  At least we would probably be the "home team" in this one.  I would say this, after yesterday, maybe we can beat Georgia and/or Alabama.  They put their pants on one leg at a time, just like Aiden, Haskins, McNamara, Ojabo, and the rest of your Big Ten East Champions.  Assuming we make the playoffs, this would be the first time since 2015 that the team wants to play their next game and goes into bowl prep full steam ahead.

I will say this, if Alabama and Georgia both make the playoff, they should be forced to play each other in the semi-final as the 2 vs. 3.  Michigan would have a better resume than either of those teams and its not even close (again, assuming we beat Iowa).

Alabama was favored by 20.5 points.  I should know because I bet on the idiots.  Auburn was down their starting QB that basically carried the team all season.  And they still took Bama to 4 OTs.  Actually Auburn was one bone headed play from winning the game in regulation.  If the committee ranks Alabama at #2 then we know $EC bias is still alive and flourishing quite well.

LOL. Bama was a stupid fall inbound play by Auburn RB to lose that game where they had a hobbling backup QB. Bama played like #2 and I don't mean the ranking.

Fwiw, Bama without any timeouts on their final drive to tie the game yesterday got the benefit two non calls of intentional grounding, one pretty clear.   SEC business protection officiating chipped in for Bama yesterday.   Danielson also tried to sell  2 loss Bama team going to playoff. Thankfully Coaches bias poll doesn't matter much.

Beat Iowa.  Win the game.  Go Blue !

Gotta be big Georgia fans this week. Aside from Alabama (since we won’t be 4th so won’t face Georgia) there isn’t anyone we would play in the semifinals that I think overmatches us. I’m confident with us vs Cincy, Ok St, or Notre Dame.

After Georgia eats Bama's lunch and Michigan takes care of business in Indy against Iowa things will be righted in this poll.

Then again the coaches' undying love of all things Bama will likely have them top four no matter how badly they lose, even if they should realistically be down around 9.
