Chris Balas Reporting that Michigan-Maryland Likely at Noon

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

I know that there is a previous thread on the subject, but this is the first Twitter report I have seen from a credible journalist.

I'm OK with this. Much better than the "not at all" option.

Hearing from a good source the Michigan game with Maryland is being moved to noon Saturday. Working to confirm with others. #GoBlue

Yeah, so I was able to watch the game.  AND my wife was going out with her friends.  AND the kids would have been in bed.  AND I'm working at noon.  I CAN'T THINK OF A SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN MORE DISADVANTAGED BY A HURRICANE THAN I AM!!!

This sucks.  Is it at least on TV?  I can try to find a way to "work" instead of work.

So, if this happens, BTN is currently slated to broadcast Minni-NW at Noon and the M game at 8.  I hope we wouldn't be left holding the bag regarding a TV broadcast.  I guess it would at least be streamed.

The problem with that--not a big one I admit--is that, at least with Time Warner here, only the main channel is available on HD.

On the other hand, it's left to each market to decide which game will appear on which channel so my guess is it's the Minnesota and Northwestern fans who will suffer in this part of the midwest.

I would assume, BTN would put it on their alternate channel at noon, and then replay it at its regularly scheduled time.

But you know what happens when you assume.
