Carr says he supports RichRod. I don't believe him

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4591638 I don't believe Carr. I think the conspiracy is still alive and kickin'. Carr wants RichRod out. No other explanation. After learning about Occum's Razor, this thing has conspiracy written all over it. My only concern is that this conspiracy runs even deeper than I first thought. [EDIT: Yes, that was indeed sarcasm. I am somewhat offended, however, that my wit is not as well received as I had hoped!!]

Carr spoke at the Alumni Association tailgate today. He didn't straight up say he supported Rich Rod, but he described how "Tradition" is intangible and that Michigan has a lot of it. Then he went on to say that part of that tradition is supporting your school in one way or another. It was more of a plug for the new alumni to give money to the University. Take from it what you will, but he seemed genuine in his support of the school and its athletics. All this talk of Carr and his cronies having it out for Rich Rod is getting ridiculous. If there is any truth behind the rumors, then this is exactly what the rumor mongers want. Continuing to talk about it only gives the rumors more credence.

Occum's Razor says you favor the simpler explanation over the more complicated one. So let's look at this situation: Carr says he supports Rich Rod. One explanation: Carr is behind a vast, demonic conspiracy to undermine Rodriguez and mess up UM football so that the future AD (whomever that may be) will hire Ron English or some other non-Les Miles person from the Schembechler era. Simpler explanation: Carr supports Rich Rod.

Lloyd Carr may not have preferred Rich Rod as coach but he is not going to undermine the guy and let the program fail for ego. Lloyd has way too much class and respect for Michigan to do that. I do think however, that Lloyd has been secretly paying our TE's $100 for every dropped pass. To date, that means he has paid out $12k over the season.

. . . anyone else get the impression that the only reason Lloyd broke the silence is because Bill Martin and/or Mary Sue sat down with him and said "enough already, make a few rounds and try to silence all these Leachesque rumors?"

DId you listen to his 1st quarter bit during the game? How could you listen to that and NOT think that they were going through the list of all the issues Lloyd wanted to address. Sorry, but that sounded perfectly scripted. You didn't get that?

No. Absolutely not. Things he was willing to talk about, of course. Look, FB and JB love Carr, and they should. They've been close for a long time and they know this bullshit about Lloyd not supporting RR is just that -- bullshit. I thought the interview I heard in the car during the first quarter was great, but sad. Sad, becuase it should not have been necessary. Great, becuase now noone can with a straight face say LC doesn't support Rich. Maybe we can move on now . . .
