This isn't to be funny or anything, but I am actually worried for Kalis' safety. These guys on Bucknuts are most likely just talking a big game, but I would hate for a kid to be messed with because of his college choice.

No disrespect to Kalis, but 2 of Michigan's greatest players ever came from that state. How do you raise a child to have such hate? This has absolutely nothing to do with football or The Game. This is just pure hate for the sake of hate. Then again, what do you expect from a school who's former coach punched another player and encouraged classlessness like pulling down a team's traditional banner?

I was somewhat impressed, but not surprised that there were a few sane osu fans trying to tamp down the rhetoric.  However, given the length and number of posts I read (I didn't read them all), I was a little surprised that not a single clever phrase was posted.  No worthwhile sarcasm.  No subtle punch to our collective gut. The vitriol, the mispelings, the sentence fragments were all expected.  The complete lack of a single impressive thing to say given the volume of posts really was something to behold.

My only defense of the crap at Bucknuts is that the site always struck me as a holding cell for some of most degenerate OSU fans out there, so the level of vitriol may not be representative of the whole.  Kind of like how there are certain subsets of the UM blogosphere with differing community involvement and temperment.  I mean, I'm not a massive fan of 11 Warriors, but that community seem far more mature and more in line with the mindset of MGoBlog, at least in terms of some policing. 

All that said, that fanbase is going to be a shell of its former self if they get hit with sanctions.  That is a front-running group if I've ever seen one.

Awesome addition to Michigan's recruiting class.  It is so sweet to stick it to the folks in Columbus.  I just hope those psychotic OSU fans don't actually come after Kyle/his family with pitchforks and clubs for his (supposed) act of treachery.

boy oh boy, those OSU honks sure seem to think that Michigan will never beat OSU again. You gotta laugh at some of those tards saying, "I hope he enjoys going 0-4 versus OSU."

Do these people realize that these are 17 year old high school juniors that they are trashing and labeling "traitors". And for what? For not wanting to commit to the school that these guy like? For not wanting to commit to a program that (1) is facing serious sanctions, that (2) is starting a new era under a new interim (title or not, Fickell is only there on an interim basis unless he has a stellar season), and (3) has essentially admitted to cheating and flouting NCAA rules?
