I thought the consensus was that coach was a Sparty guy, didn't care for M?  Totally understand that widely-accepted notion could be absolutely incorrect, but I thought that was the thinking.

  • Corley is the biggest recruit but has been rumored to be cool to Michigan for a while.
  • Hill's brother is at UM and he's been a rumored flip candidate (from PSU) for weeks.
  • Thomas is a 2017 CB recruit whose offers include LSU, OSU, MSU, and PSU.

Any one of them would be a coup for Michigan.

ambry thomas has the most upside of the 3 DBs mentioned - not sure what you meant by 'coup' but hed be a great get.  

hes both quick and fast on film and michigan needs those traits in DBs.  he may lack ideal size but so does jourdan lewis and his similar fluid movements and quickness have worked well so far.  i get durkin targeting big press CB specialists but dudes like thomas (or jaymest williams, another smaller '17 CB whose film really impressed)  who can cover from the slot, from the field, in a phone booth, etc, still get the job done.

thomas should end up top 10 ranked CB in his class and i see legit potential if he continues progressing and shaping his game.  im not knocking corley or hill, both could be players, i just view thomas as 2nd only to people-jones in terms of prospective in-state skill guys

All their guys are apparently making their declarations today at some point. They have had four guys already make announcments.
