HANCOCK

So...I did a little snooping aroound on Bosch's twiiter account (something thats a little creepy for a grown man to be doing, but here we are).

Apparently he followed the Northwestern O-Line coach around Dec 22-23. Now, Im not going to say he automatically ends up there, but he is from that area, its a Big Ten team...I think it happens.

But what is interesting is that he is saying he didnt expect to be transfering....that seems to be total bull. He was at least preparing to transfer, so the expectation should have been set that tansfering was a possiblility. And if he really didnt want to transfer, he wouldve been willing to do anything Harbaugh said to get back on the team....so I think he is bullshiting with the "I didnt expect to transer" talk.

If the information I have is accurate, the only conditions that could have been put in place related to his absence would not be things we, as a fanbase, would be embarassed of. And they don't involve feats of strength. I'd say more but, frankly, it's none of my business that I even know, much less sharing. If your concern is Harbaugh was a jerk for doing this, don't be. The end.

We can only speculate what was going on with Bosch and the meeting he had with JH.

I think  whatever transfired between Bosch and JH was that JH was blunt,  tough, but fair...hence the stipulations. It sounds like he was for giving him a second chance to be part of the team based on something or some thing that had happen before. I think that alone is quite a culture shock compared to what those guys are used to. To me, the choice Bosch made was the "easy way out." JH's stipulations were too tough and probably viewed as "unfair" in his eyes so rather than rising up to meet the challenge and be a better person, he said "F-it" and transfered. Apparently Bosch didn't value Michigan as much as we thought.

This doesn't sound like a family issue IMO. It sounds like a personal and/or player mentality one.

We all figured this would happen.  Country club days are over. The JH culture as hard as nails isn't going to sit well for a few and Bosch is the first of those few who are leaving for softer pastures.

What crawled up your rear end and died? Are you the ethics police because it sounds like you are all into the country club atmosphere that Hoke embraced.

I really can't believe I have to explain this to another adult but to be a better person is rising to a personal challenge regardless if it's set forth by yourself or someone else. Apparently he wasn't all about Michigan because if I was in his shoes and all about that team , I would be damned if I would allow anyone, including myself ruin my dreams of playing for that team. Bo told JH he'd never play a down for being late to a meeting. Did he get all butt hurt and leave? No...he fought for it. If rumors are correct, it was nothing extreme or out of the ordinary that was asked of him.

If Bosch wanted it easy, then he made his best choice for both himself and his team but no one betters themselves by taking the easy way out---no one.

As for Urban Meyer right now , like it or not, he  has the better team.... so your point is so irrelevant, it's comical. Go to bed and sit this one out buddy.

But you have no business stating the reason a person is transferring is they don't want to be a better person. That's a shit assumption to blindly put on someone. People have different ideas of the proper route - it wasn't that long ago people destroyed Harbaugh for stating he though Stanford had a better route; just because one person in this disagreement is our coach doesn't make the other a bad person or unwilling to be a better person

No...what is a "shit assumption" is that my opinion of the situation is not correct because it doesn't jive with yours or how it was worded? No....sorry, that's not how it works contrary to how others may think. This is a discussion board so opinions will be discussed. We may not agree with each other but calling someone's opinion basically shit is poor form if we are keeping in tone with your response.

"You're never going to play a single down for Michigan", and it's motivation.

A coach does that now, and the kid goes on Twitter announcing that  he's going to transfer.

Times change, apparently.

Now get off my lawn.

No kidding. Kids today have no idea of the toughness and standards of behavior we had to adhere to back in the day. Lots of sniveling cry babies abound today and they just can't hack simple disciplines but you can largely thank the last two generations of parents for this.

Its best to wish the kid good luck and let it go.

Any top program has an Alpha dog Coach running show and he makes the rules not the players .

We have a lot f nice players showing interest in coming to M.  We want players that want to be here 100 percent.

Sure seems like he's playing the "victim", but if he truly was, he'd share what the stipulations were that he was unwilling or unable to agree to. I call BS. Seems he wanted the privilege without the work. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's sure what it sounds like.

If you do not want to follow your coaches recommendations then it is best for you to transfer.  I think Harbaugh knew what was best for you but opted not to listen. I'm sure there are other athletes on the team who will not see eye to eye with Jim and may also leave. As they say, those who stay will be champions!

Where is that feminist humanist male who was complaining about the use of the word "man" a few weeks back? what does he/she/(s)he/s(h)e have to say about this? We need the feminist humanist perspective on this so we include everyone.

And a bunch of other people defended an adult who purposely told the media only half the story to try to paint the transfer picture in his favor.
